Such a Simple Little Heartless Girl

For once, I didn't pass out when we landed in a new world. Which was good because that meant that I could get a good look around. Even though no one else was passed out.

"Come on, Sebastian!" A voice called.

"I wonder who that is?" Donald said to himself.

"Ariel, wait! Slow down! Don’t leave me behind!" Another voice called.

Suddenly, a crab swam up, saw Donald, screamed, swam off, and a mermaid and a fish swam up.

"Relax, Sebastian. They don’t look like one of them. Right, Flounder?" The mermaid said.

She had long, flowing red hair. Her tail was green-ish, and she had a purple seashell bra.

I looked down at my yellow tail (uh-oh, I'll be turning into sushi!) and my gray bra. My black hair was short and choppy so there was no flowing.

In any event, this girl was beautiful. And she kind of made me feel like a rag doll.

The fish cocked his er-body at us, "I don’t know. There’s something weird about them." He said.

"And what about you?" I blurted out, "You're a talking fish."

The fish looked at me with a shocked expression and Sora let out a nervous laugh.

"What do you mean, weird? We're totally and completely normal. Nothing strange about us, right guys?" He tripped over his words.

I leaned into him and whispered, "Smooth."

"They do seem...a little different. Where are you from?" The mermaid asked; she seemed to be growing more and more curious by the minute.

"We’re from kind of far away. And we’re not really used to these waters."

"These waters." I repeated.

Sora let out a nervous chuckle again.

Geez, what's his problem? It's not like they can kill us for walking –swimming- into their world, can they?

"Oh, I see. In that case... Sebastian can show them around here?" She asked the crab.

"Ariel, King Triton will not like this!" The crab warned.

Oh, so they can kill us. That's just nifty.

Suddenly, a group of odd-looking sea-creatures showed up.

I looked over to Ariel to see her reaction, but all I saw was a giant clam shell shutting.

I sighed and turned to Sora, "Why do people always leave us to fight alone?" I groaned.

He smiled and pecked me on the cheek, "For luck."

I smiled, but my smile soon faded, Sora is so sweet.

I began slashing at the heartless, but my mind kept wandering to Sora.

Sora's smile, Sora's laugh, Sora's hands, Sora's arms, Sora's positive attitude, Sora's-

"EVELYN WATCH OUT!" Sora yelled as a heartless was about to scratch me.

I ducked out of the way just in time and killed it with one hit.

Sora's protectiveness over me…

When all of the creatures were gone, Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder Came back out.

"Those creatures chased us here." Ariel said, looking around.

"Oh, no! Those monsters might be heading for the palace, too!" Sebastian's eyes became wide.

"We’d better head back right away!" Sora said.

Sora's genuine concern for complete strangers.

"But, wh-what if we run into more on our way back?" Flounder asked worriedly.

Ariel turned to us "I’m sorry, but we need your help. Please come to the
Palace with us." She begged Sora who nodded and turned to Donald, Goofy, and me.

"Is that okay with you guys?"

"Sure!" Donald squawked, "The king could be there!"

"Because the king can breathe under water." I said.

Sora shot me a glare and turned to follow Ariel along with Sebastian, Flounder, Goofy and Donald.

I sighed.

Evelyn's sarcasm and disregard for other's feelings.

"Is that okay with you guys?" Sora asked, turning to the dog, the duck, and Evelyn.

"Sure!" The duck squawked, "The king could be there!"

"Because the king can breathe under water." Evelyn replied with a roll of her eyes.

Sora sent her a death look and turned to follow the mermaid along with the fish, the crab, the dog, and the duck.

Evelyn sighed and after a moment, she followed too.

I smirked and couldn't help but laugh. This is rich. This is too rich! Evelyn's sarcastic remarks and selfish acts are finally catching up with her! Today must be the best day ever!

Suddenly I stopped, what am I thinking? Evelyn was my best friend, and even if we're on different sides of the battlefield, that doesn't mean that I shouldn't care about her, I mean, what am I supposed to do when we get home?

Say, okay, that was fun, let's be friends again?

And I know that look that was on her face as she swam away. Something is on her mind besides getting faced by her boyfriend.

Something is wrong…

And it's my job to find out, the only question is…how do I get her to tell me?

As we swam to the palace in silence, I couldn't help but feel like we were being followed. However, every time that I turned around, there was nothing there. I mean, there were a few schools of fish… and a lobster or two, but nothing out of the ordinary.

But I couldn't help but feel a shudder run down my back every time I let my guard down… maybe I'm just being paranoid. Or maybe it has something to do with Sora.

I sighed; I'm always blaming other people for my problems that I probably created in the first place… Maybe I would be better off siding with the heartless.

Feeling that chill run down my spine, I turned around, and swam backwards.

After swimming like that for a minute, and realizing that there was nothing there, I turned back around, only to smash my face into a rock and start to feel woozy.

I laughed nervously as I saw the five blurry figures that I was traveling with swim away without coming back to help me.

Or was it six?

Sora, Donald, Goofy, Ariel, Flounder…
Wait…

Donald, Goofy…

No that's not right…

I reached my hand out towards them… I think I did anyways…

But when I opened my mouth to call out to them nothing came out.

I felt the whole world spinning at an incredibly fast speed and everything was blurry.

Wow…this is trippy.

Suddenly, I saw something swim over to me.

Whatever it was, it had a red (maybe blue?) tail and a black (white?) bra and black hair.

I squinted as the thing kept repeating something.

But I don't know what and soon, all I saw was white. All around me.

When I looked around, I saw an unfamiliar scene.

It looked like the sun was about to set and the town I was in was covered with a golden layer of…gold.

Damn my head hurts…

I rubbed it…

What happened, the last thing that I remember is…

Smashing my head on a rock…and that black and red thing that was swimming towards me.

Wasn't I under water?

I looked down at my feet.

FEET! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY TAIL!

I looked around. There were people all around, but not many…

One person stood out to me though.

It was a girl; she had long black hair that was tangled and sticking up everywhere. It looked as if she had been crying because she had black rims smeared around her eyes. She had a white dress that went to her knees but it was shredded around the edges. There were no shoes on her feet.

She was a complete wreck. But she looked gorgeous. It's the kind of girl that people can't hate, no matter how much they want to because she looks so fragile and yet she's gorgeous.

I went over to her, "Where am I?" I asked.

She looked around and back at me.

She seemed to be staring through me.

"Hello?" I tried, waving my hand in front of her face.

"Are you lost?" A male voice asked from behind me.

I turned to see a boy with sandy spiky hair.

"Yes, I am, could you tell me where we-HEY."

He walked right past me and went to the messy girl.

The girl looked scared and confused, "I-"

And that's all that she got out before she collapsed into the boy's arms.

Gah! I take it back! It is possible to hate her!

"Miss! Miss! I…"

"ROXAS!" I turned around to see a girl running towards him.

"She just fainted…what should I do?"

"Take her to the back alley."

"EXCUSE ME!" I screamed.

No one flinched.

The girl and the boy ran away and I began to follow them.

That is, until everything began to shift and suddenly the place was filling up with water. I held my breath as I watched all of the people float to the top of the water until I could no longer see them. Why am I stuck down here?

Suddenly, I couldn’t hold my breath any longer, even though I would die if I breathed any water in. As soon as I passed out, I would start breathing again. And that would be the end.

And then everything when black.
