Coincidences

For the rest of the day, Kat did not so much as even catch a glimpse of her charming kisser. She thought she saw him as she switched to her last class, watching her from the other end of the hallway, but she paid no mind to it.

Heading home she decided to walk. Even though her mother said she would pick her up; she was less reliable than a two year old when it came to time.

As she started to cross the street in front of the school,

“KAT!”

She whipped her head around to see Theo starting up a motorcycle and drive up in front of her.

“Want a lift? I heard it’s supposed to rain and we don’t want to get wet now, do we?”

She though about rejecting the offer when thunder boomed in the sky above her, and the heavens broke open. She was immediately soaked.

“ I don’t have much off a choice now, do I?”

He smiled and handed her a helmet,

“Hop aboard little lady, and don’t feel shy to hold on.”

He said with a wink.

Kat just got on, and ignored him.

Theo revved up and drove out into the river’s once called streets.
