Kidnapped My Heart
Load This Thing In Your Car.
And hell, was I right.
"Matt, are you at least going to talk to me?" I asked quietly. The room had become silent, and I didn't want
anyone to hear me.
"Sorry, Beautiful. Not if your going to be that worried about them hearing us." I stuck my tongue out at him. I
heard another unrecognizeable voice, it had the sound of and older man, and it was yelling. There was a huge
creak as someone came through the door, slamming it into the wall. I wasn't sure what was being said or
happening, Matt made sure of that. He started climbing over me, then hugging me.
"Do what I say, if not, you really will die, right now." I was scared, he was looming over me.
"What is it that I'm supposed to do?"
"Nothing for now. Just go to your happy place." I heard gunfire, and the sound of it bouncing off metal.
"Why are you trying to--" Matt's hand covered my mouth, then adjusted it so I could breath.
"Shut up, Okay? Look, if I leave you here, you'll die. Yet if you manage to prove to that guy you're innocent, you'll
squeal. So don't complain. I don't doubt that he'll kill you anyways." Needless to say, I wasn't just scared
anymore, I was petrified. But I couldn't deny, I felt grateful. Matt was saving my life, but I was mostly scared.
The guy came around the corner, black notebook in hand, and a pen. He took one look at Matt and me then
started wrting something down.
"Mail Jee-" I was confused.
"Run!" Matt yelled, even though I was on his back. He started running as explosions sounded. The older man had
paused in his writing."Chill. It'll be fine once we get out of here." he said when I started clinging to him. I didn't
want to die. I nodded. "Relax, beautiful. As long as you hold on, you could sleep if you wanted." He looked at me
and smiled. I was then on his back.
"We're going to live, right?" I asked in his ear. He nodded and 'shhh'ed me. More gunfire. More metal. Then more
explosions, and Matt was running like hell. I was shoved into the car, still on Matt's back. He started driving, and
once we didn't smell smoke he rounded a couple more corners and parked in an alleyway.
"Mello will know where to come." He said. I cursed a lot, over and over.
"We're alive. Oh my god, holy shit, you scared the life out of my you bastard!" I said and I swore a lot again. I just couldn't stop.
"Nice language, Beautiful."
"Hell, I know!"
"Don't worry. It's ok. I've seen lawyers talk worse than you ever could in a million years."
"I'm not that good either."
"I know that!"
"That was. . . I was scared crapless thanks to you!" I was an angry puppy.
"No problem, Beautiful." Matt brushed off how angry I was with his hand. Just as Mello came stumbling around
the corner.
"Mello!" I hopped over to him, my bad foot in the air. I was halfway there and totally exausted. 'So this is why I hate gym class' I thought. I tripped right in front of Mello. I looked up and waved, too exausted to hug him the
way I had hugged Matt.
"Matt, help me load this thing into your car." Mello deadpanned.
