Valeria’s POV
(3 months later)

Waking up I could feel my gut clenching in a sign I recognised as I rushed from the bed and into the bathroom where I knelt in front of the toilet and emptied my stomach down the toilet.
When nothing more came up I leaned back against the wall and groaned I was sick of throwing up all the time I mean come on there is no such thing as morning sickness because it’s more like all day sickness which can hit you at anytime like I was actually in the middle of a Mafia meeting when I had to run out of there to the nearest bathroom and throw up. I am sick of this.
A shadow appeared in the door and looking up I saw Matt standing there with concern etched on his features
“honey you’re still throwing up?” I nodded and he sighed before coming and sitting down next to me and pulling me into his side. I sighed and leant against him
“the doctor said that it shouldn’t last much longer but that it is different for everyone” Matt growled
“well when we go to the scan today we ask if they have anything to stop it” looking up at him I shook my head
“no way, I’m not taking any drugs which could potentially harm the baby but hey you can find out what our baby is at the scan today” Matt looked down at my slightly bulging stomach and rubbing it he said wistfully
“yeah I can find out if I have a son or daughter” I laughed and replied
“well I think it’s a girl to be honest because only a girl would punish her mother like this” Matt laughed
“now now that’s not fair if it is a little girl plus I’m sure she will make up for it with me” I huffed
“they had better not be a daddies kid or said kid will find out that their mommy has a temper” Matt grinned and leaning down he whispered into my stomach
“don’t listen kid your mommy will spoil you like no other” I laughed as his breath tickled and instead pulled his head up so I could place a small kiss on his lips.
Pulling away he got to his feet and leaned down to pull me up saying
“well get up honey and we’ll go back to sleep for the few hours before we actually have to get up” I nodded and he led me back to our bed and it was now our bed as he had moved all of his stuff into my room and he was planning to make his room into the nursery but I wasn’t actually aloud in there as he had all of the stuff in there even if he hadn’t started on it yet.
Getting into bed he pulled me towards him and we quickly fell asleep again.
Getting up in the mornings was always a hassle for the simple reason that Matt never wanted me to do anything including showering myself or cooking or even walking down the dam stairs by myself though I usually went around him and did it anyway which is always fun to do.
Getting up I got into the shower and when Matt tried to get in with me I threw a bottle of shampoo at his head and he quickly left the room and though I let him carry me down the stairs because frankly I couldn’t be bothered to walk down them myself. Then when he made my breakfast he tried to make something healthy which soon got thrown up so when I demanded for him to make me a ham and pasta omelette he just shook his head but made it for me anyway making me grin behind his back as Ari laughed at us.
When I had finished eating I got up and got Matt to carry me back up the stairs which considering how I feel, I am surprised he can still lift me but then feeling his arms, damn he is strong enough to do so.
After being set down in front of my wardrobe I look through all of my clothes which I had gotten in bigger sizes and some in maternity wear. I picked out a pair of jeans and a cute top then slung on some sandels then made my way down the stairs because Matt had been called away by his phone quickly making me think that something was probably wrong with the mafia but shrugging to myself I still made my way down the stairs, I don’t care if he has to do something for the mafia but could they save it until after my scan?
Walking into the living room I find Matt, Ari and Zacky sat on the many sofas and smiling I make my way to Matt’s side. Looking up at the sound of my feet he grins and takes my hand pulling me down so he can place a kiss on my lips before he rubs my stomach and standing he says
“so are you ready to go?” I nod and wave to Ari and Zacky who both have these big grins on their faces which makes me kind of suspicious but I shrug it off and follow Matt out to the car.
We arrive at the clinic and walk in and I sit in a comfy chair while Matt goes to the desk to tell the nurse that we are here before he comes and sits next to me, me shooting him a soft smile as he does.
He takes my hand in his and squeezes it saying excitedly
“I can’t wait to find out what our child is because then I can start on the nursery” I groan
“can’t I be involved in it?!” Matt shakes his head and I pout “it’s my baby too!” Matt chuckles
“I realized, how about I let you buy one thing for the room after we find out what the baby is and I promise to put it in there?” I frown but nod which makes him smile and kiss my forehead which lightens my mood and I smile back just as the doctor calls out
“Sanders-Lodovico?” I look at Matt and smile before we get up and walk into the examining room.
So I’m sat on the table and asked questions etc then I get to lie back and lift up my shirt while the doctor puts the gel stuff on and then uses the ultrasound wand to locate my baby. When he has he smiles and swings the display around to face us and he points to the shape in the middle saying
“this is your baby” I smile as I touch the screen, that’s my little kid! Looking at Matt I see the wonder in his eyes as he gazes avidly at the screen and I grin even more. Looking back at the picture I ask
“can you tell us it’s sex?” the doctor frowns in thought a moment before pulling the screen back to himself
“I can have a look for you” he moves the wand some more and looks intently at the screen before a smile comes to his face and he swings the monitor back saying
“I am more than confident that you are having a girl” I squeal in excitement and Matt looks stunned and speechless. The doctor laughs and says
“I hope that’s a good thing, I’m printing a copy so if you wait while I collect that and some forms then you can go and celebrate” he then got up and left and I looked at Matt with tears in my eyes
“a girl Matt, a little girl!” Matt just kept looking at the screen in wonder for a couple more moments before his gaze fixed on he and he said
“marry me” I just stared at him for a moment before I croaked
“what?” clearing my throat I carried on “you already asked me that” Matt nodded
“yeah and now we actually can get married and I want to get married soon honey, I don’t care about fancy stuff I just want you and our little girl” tears actually leaked from my eyes as I looked at his hopeful face and I smiled
“of course Matt, how are we gonna do this?” he shrugged
“we can get a priest and do it any where you want” I pulled him to me for a deep kiss and after pulling away I said
“I just want it simple so in our back yard with just the guys, girls, Madre and Don is fine for me” Matt frowned
“ok I was thinking a little more fuss than that” I laughed
“oh believe me Ari will make even that into a big fuss” Matt laughed and leaned in for one more kiss, separating when the doctor walked back in and gave us the picture with a smile and sent us on our way home to where I would get together with the girls and plan my wedding to Matt.
