Forever and Always.

I looked at Emmett through the mirror, not really sure of what I should say or what he should say, right now it was just pure silence.

"You want to know something Edward?" Emmett asked

"What?" Edward replied

"Lene thinks she's ugly."

"What?"

Edward turned to look back at me with a 'Are you kidding me?' look.

"Yeah I really think I'm ugly." I went along with it

"You're not ugly."

"I think I am, and I'm pretty sure I am."

"You're insane."

"Maybe just a tad."

"You're anything but ugly Lene."

"Well I mean nobody ever tried hitting at me at school."

"Because they were afraid of rejection."

"Yeah right."

"I'm serious!"

"I don't believe you, not even Eric would want to go out with me."

"Are you kidding me? He was dying to ask you out!"

"Not a good liar Edward!"

"I can hear people's thoughts you know."

"Maybe that's just your excuse."

"Excuse for what?"

"To try and make me feel better." I smiled flirtatious

"You are very pretty."

"You don't mean it." I pouted

"Yes I do, I mean I don't know who would ever think you were ugly."

"I don't know." I sighed and sank back in the back seat.

Edward just kept looking at me, with a face I couldn't quite grasp, it looked like he was trying to figure something out, or like he was fighting with himself and wanted to win the argument, if that made any sense at all.

"What are you thinking?" I asked

"I don't know why don't you unblock your mind?"

"I want to ask like a normal person."

"You're not normal."

"I don't care if I am or not."

"You really want to know?"

"Yeah of course."

"I could see myself with you."

That wasn't what I was expecting at all, my eyes just went wide and my mouth opened a bit with the surprise.

"I mean if I wasn't with Bella..." He trailed off

I smiled and leaned in closer to him.

"So if you had never fallen for Bella, would you have just walked up to me and talk to me or just pretend to not see me like you always did." I whispered close to his ear

"I never pretended, I knew you were there."

"And why did you never even tried to talk to me?"

"Because I found it strange I couldn't hear what you were thinking."

"Bella can't either, what attracted you to her?"

"Are you jealous?"

"Maybe I am."

Edward turned away, I looked back at Emmett who was trying hard not to laugh, I winked at him and turn back to look at Edward who was still looking out the window.

This is so wrong.

But I have to do it, just get it over with.

"Edward?"

"HM?"

"Do you really think I'm a bitch?"

He turned back to look at me.

"Do you really think I'm a jerk?"

"Well you're always taking out things on me, and I'm not used to that."

"I'm sorry."

"You're forgiven." I gave him a small smile

"And Lene?"

"Yeah?"

"You're beautiful."

"Thanks."

"And it's selfish of me but..."

"But what?"

"I don't want you to leave."

"Why not?"

"Because I feel like you and I have this connection."

"Like we were meant to be together?"

"Yeah, but more of a not romantic way..?"

I smiled and sat back down properly, I could see that Edward was not going to leave Bella, or at least not let it happen, and I didn't know what else I could do about it.
