Out of the World She's Grown So Fearful Of
One.
"What did you do now, you clumsy bitch!" Ronnie called from the living room sitting infront of the TV, to his long time girlfriend, Kennedy, who was in the kitchen.
"I, I accidently dropped a glass.." Kennedy called back, but quieter than Ronnie.
"Well clean it up!" Ronnie walked into the kitchen door way with a beer in his hand. "Well," he started as he set his beer on the table and walked over to Kennedy, "Are you just going to stand there?" and he shoved her.
Kennedy turned her face away from Ronnie. "Look at me!" he punched her, and she fell flat on the floor, her face digging into the glass.
"Look's like you shoulda' cleaned that shit up, huh?" he kicked her hard in her side, causing her to lose her breath. "Your disgusting." then he finally spit on her. "Now, clean that nasty mess up."
Ronnie walked out of the kitchen after grabbing another beer from the refridgerator, and went back into the living room to watch TV.
***********
After Ronnie had passed out on the couch, Kennedy decided to get a shower.
The shower turned out to be more of a breakdown.
She was so tired of being abused by the man she loved.
It was everyday he drank, or partied with his friends.
There were pleanty nights when Kennedy would come home from work, and Ronnie would have tons of guys over, trashing the apartment and getting waisted.
And if she said anything to Ronnie, he'd get pissed at her.
Yeah, there were times whenever Kennedy thought about leaving him, but they've been together since highschool.
Those were the days when he was always to sweet to her, he adorered her.
Those were the days when he'd bring her flowers to every one of their dates.
Because of those days, that's what keeps her from leaving him.
Everything has changed since highschool,everything.
After highschool, Ronnie had become an alcoholic.
And thats when all the abuse began. It was everyday.
And when night came, after he passed out and Kennedy took him to bed, that was when he's appoligize to her.
But Kennedy was sick of it.
When she was done taking a shower and having a good cry, thats when all of the bruises showed up on her body.
I mean, there was no point for her to stop crying, because when she seen the huge bruise on her side, a big bumpy bruise on her cheek, and the scars on her forehead from the glass, she brokedown crying again.
Basically, the kind of cry when you have to litteraly gasp for air.
This was the first time Ronnie left these kinds of bruises on Kennedy.
There were times when he gave her a black eye, but nothing else.
That was the spot he'd always hit her. Besides the pushing and shoving her around.
And also, not to forget the screaming and yelling at her, about the dumbest things.
After Kennedy was done crying, and putting rubbing alcohol on her cuts, she got dressed and called her cousin, Austin.
"Hello?" Austin finally answered his phone after three calls.
"Austin? It's Kennedy." she talked quietly into her phone. "Can you come get me?"
"Why? Kennedy, is everything okay?" Austin sounded concerned.
"Yeah... I just can't stay here tonight."
"Okay, I'll be there in 30 minutes."
"Wait! Don't park outside the house,, I don't want Ronnie to know I'm leaving tonight..."
"Okay then um... meet me a couple houses down then? Will you be okay until then?"
"Yeah. And okay, 30 minutes."
