Out of the World She's Grown So Fearful Of

Nine.

On her drive to Stephanie's, Kennedy was terrified. Well, Ronnie had her paranoid.
She had no clue if he could have been following her, and that made her scared.
I mean, wouldn't you be scared? She had no one around her to protect herself from him.
No one understands, actually. Ronnie is major abusive. He could kill something with his temper.

When Kennedy has finally made her way to Stephanie's, she grabbed her bag, and immediatly got out of her car.
Still, she could feel Ronnie's eyes on her. But she couldn't see him anywhere. It was dark, anyways. And why would he come straight to stalking Kennedy right after he had gotten out of jail?
Oh yeah--he's obsessed with her.

Her attention got distracted from a car's headlights coming from down the dark road. She quickly ran to the front door of the house, and knocked and knocked over again until Stephanie answered the door.
"Kennedy, what the hell. You scared me." Stephanie had her hand over her heart.
Kennedy made her way past Stephanie, inviting herself in.
"Okaaay then.." Stephanie said, shuting the door.
"Did you lock it?" Kennedy asked, looking terrified.
"No..but I will, I guess." Stephanie was confused. "What's wrong, Kennedy?"
Kennedy took a deep breath. "Ronnie's out of jail."
"What? But I thought he was in for six months? It's only been like, almost two weeks."
"I know. But one of his friends bailed him out. And now I'm scared." a tear rolled down Kennedy's cheek.
Stephanie made herself over to the couch, next to Kennedy.
"Awh, Kennedy." Stephanie pulled her into a hug. "Don't worry about him. No one's going to let him hurt you, okay? Everything will be fine. And you're more than welcome to stay here until Kyle comes home."
Kennedy pulled herself away from the hug. "Are you sure?"
"I'm positive."
"Thanks. I just don't want to be alone, you know, without Kyle." She sighed.
"I know." Stephanie smiled. "You can stay in the guest room. I mean, It'll be fun for me too, now I don't have to be alone without Caleb."
Kennedy laughed. "Now I know why you're my best friend."

*****

That night, Kennedy stayed up in the guest room, talking to Kyle, practically all night. They never run out of things to talk about.
She missed him, but you already know that. They were going crazy without eachother. They've never been apart this long, but they're making it through it.
They mostly talked about the tour, about how the bunks on the bus suck ass and you can't get very much sleep on them, how many fans FTSK has gotten over the past couple weeks. They tried avoiding talking about Ronnie. Kyle knew it made Kennedy upset to talk about him. And he didn't want their whole relationship to be worried about him. And Kyle also thinks Ronnie won't do anything, I mean, would he?
Who knows. He's crazy. Kyle would be home soon, and then they don't have to worry about it.

"Well, listen babe. It's 1:30 a.m. and I'm pretty tired." Kyle said.
"Okay. Get some sleep, I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"I love you, Kennedy."
"I love you too." she smiled. "'Night."
"Sweet dreams." he hung up the phone.

For the first time, Kennedy finally felt happy again. She didn't want to worry about stupid, trashy Ronnie. She wasn't going to let him get to her anymore. He's not going to do anything. Maybe she's just over reacting.
She closed her eyes, and thought about Kyle. Smiling, she fell asleep.
