Sequel: Is It Still So Wrong?

I Love You, Is That So Wrong? Unfortunately, Yes

Cousinly Bickering

“What did you say her name was?” Bob asked.

“Oh, her name’s Mikee.” Ray answered.

Mikey’s POV:

Gerard’s taking a lot of time at the door… what might be going on there? Suddenly I hear…was that Ray? Yeah, Ray call my name. So I stand up from the couch and make my way to the door, only to find, not only my bandmates, but some anonymous girls with them. Well I knew one of them, being Gerard’s ex-girlfriend’s sister, but who’re the other girls?

“Gerard… I thought you said it was just going to be the guys and us?” I ask.

“Don’t give me that look, it was all Frankie’s idea.” he said, pointing accusingly at the dude he just mentioned.

“Uh… anyway… Ray did you just call me?” I ask, Ray gave me a weird look.

“No I didn’t.” he said.

“Then who did?”

“He didn’t mean you Mikey.” Anna said.

“Huh?” the short girl said.

“No, not you Mikee.” the tallest girl said.

“I’m Mikey.” I say.

“I’m Mikee too.” the short girl said again.

“But—“before I feel that my brain was about to explode I feel a hand on my shoulder, turning my head I see Gerard, it was his hand. It feels… warm… everything about him is warm…

Wait, wait, wait, wait, WAIT!

I’m thinking that way again!

Damn me!

“Mikey, these girls that you don’t know are all relatives of our band members, that tall girl is Frank’s cousin Nadine, the shorter one with the ponytail is Bob’s niece Abi, and the really short one—“Gerard had to duck to evade something coming his way.

“Mikee! Don’t throw random items at my friends!” Ray scolded.

“Is Ray’s cousin, who turns out to have the same name as you do but with a different spelling.” he finished.

“Okaaay…” I say as I finally understand, I bend down to pick up what Mikee had tried to throw at Gerard. It seemed to be some crumpled up piece of paper, just when I was going to open it something attacked me.

“NO! DON’T READ THAT!” Mikee screamed as literally jumped to grab the crumpled piece of
paper from me.

“If that piece of paper was still important then how come you threw it at Gerard?” I ask her.

“Uh… coz um…” she said, trying to think of some kind of excuse. “Ray-ray! He called me short!” she then said, hiding behind her tall cousin. Gerard and I exchanged looks as we find Ray rolling his eyes.

“Whatever Mikee…” he said.

“Waaaaaaaah! Nadine-chan! Ray-ray’s being mean!” Mikee said as she went over to her tall
friend.

“Aw… it’s okay Mimi…” she said, patting the shorter girl’s head. “Shame on you Ray-ray! Shame!” this time she was waving her finger at him, the girls were all laughing all the while by the way, so I’m guessing they’re just doing that to annoy Ray-ray… ahem… I mean Ray. So
we all went inside the house and our guests placed our bags in the living room for the meantime. Almost automatically Frankie plopped himself on the couch, getting comfortable by putting his feet up the coffee table, this was very impolite. I was just about to tell him off when his cousin did that for me.

“Frankie! Get your feet off the coffee table!” Nadine said in a commanding voice.

“Come on Nadine, I always do this when I’m at Gee and Mikey’s place.” Frankie said, which was true.

“Gasp! I can’t believe I’m related to someone so impolite!” Nadine said.

“That wasn’t very nice… plus, they don’t mind at all.” Frankie said.

Actually we do mind, don’t you know how tiring it is to get your shoe marks off the table? Listen to your cousin for once, damn it.

“Well I mind! Now get your feet off right now Frankie Iero! And move your ass, I want to sit on the couch too!” Nadine said with a smile, Frankie rolled his eyes but did what his cousin told him to do anyways. I had a feeling it was because he didn’t want to hear her nagging anymore. “Thank you Frankie!” Nadine said in a fake-sweet way that I was just sure she did that on purpose, just to annoy Frankie. Is it really a cousin’s job to annoy their own cousins?

Gerard’s POV:

Wow, Frankie was just told off by his cousin, who’s a girl! Do girls have some kind of technique to get what they want from us guys? (I don’t know Gerard… you tell me.).

“Heheh… Frankie just got told off by Nadine…” Anna snickered.

“Yeah… I know ri—“

“Shut up Gerard, I wasn’t talking to you, I was talking to… Abi!” Anna snapped at me as she patted the shoulder of the girl next to her.

“Wha?” Abi said, completely oblivious of what Anna was talking about because she was listening to her mp4 at full volume… I could tell since I could hear her listening to some Fall Out Boy song from where I was sitting.

I glare… well not exactly glare… just kinda gave her an angry look… wait that’s a glare… ah whatever. I glare at her for a bit for always acting that way towards me. Does she hate me that much because I broke up with her sister? I’m sorry Anna, but your sister was just… not exactly the one I was looking for.

Suddenly I’m staring at Mikey for some reason.

What’s Mikey got to do with my love life?

Could it be…?

Maybe…

Mikey’s POV:

Gerard’s staring at me, I could feel it. Why is this suddenly a big deal? He’s my brother, he has the right to stare at me… I think… I’m debating in my head right now whether to look back at him or to just ignore him. Unfortunately or fortunately the first choice won over the second.
I look back at him only to be met by eyes that were nearly as similar as mine, I suddenly felt… caught… transfixed into those hazel colored orbs of his.

Pause.

This is my brother I’m talking about.

What’s all this crap that’s making things sound like some kind of corny love novel?

He’s not looking away.

What if I look away?

Will he get hurt or something?

Just then he did something I didn’t really expect.

He smiled at me.

At that I couldn’t help but smile back, and then he looks away. His smile is just so infectious. At least that’s what I think.

Argh! Just what the fuck is going on with me?!

“ABI!” I jumped when I hear Bob suddenly shout next to me, making me turn my attention to the blonde dude as he was about to tell off his niece for listening to her mp4 in full volume. I could tell, coz I could hear it from here.

“What?!” she said in a tone that I knew was because she didn’t like being interrupted in the middle of listening to her favorite song.

“Don’t use that tone with me! I’m your uncle!” Bob said, sounding all ‘responsible adult’ like, wow, scaaaaary.

“Yeah but your not my dad.” Abi said back, sounding like some kind of rebellious teenager. How old did Bob say she was? Oh yeah, my age… when did his brother get married?

“Your dad’s not here right now so I’m taking responsibility for you.” Bob said.

“Bob I’m 26, I could take care of myself.”

“How will I know that taking care of yourself that way won’t end up with you deaf?”

“You’re just acting big because you’re just 1 year older than me! It’s just one fucking year you blonde idiot!”

“You take that back!”

“What if I don’t?!”

I just sit there and watch as the two start bickering with each other, man, they must really not get along. They were acting more like a fighting brother and sister than an uncle and niece. I mean seriously, when did Bob’s brother get married?

Gerard’s POV:

Oooooooh…

Bob and Abi are fighting.

Frankie and I still don’t know what age did Bob’s brother get married though, oh well, we’ll probably never know.

Unless we use some drastic measures. (*imagines Bob hanging over a pot of boiling water*)

Heheheh… oh yeah… drastic measures…

“Ray-ray! I have news!” Mikee said excitedly as she poked her cousin just to get his attention.

“What is it this time?” Ray asked in an annoyed tone.

“I’m sugar-high!”

“When were you not sugar-high?” he muttered, but since he was sitting on some place near me, I heard it.

“Pokes Ray-ray.” Mikee said, poking the already annoyed Ray.

“Stop calling me ‘Ray-ray’…”

“Why not Ray-ray? Do you like… Ray instead?”

“Yes, if you please—“

“Nope! Not going to happen! Pulls Ray-ray’s fuzzy hair.”

“Argh! Don’t pull my hair damn it!” Ray said in a more than annoyed tone, everyone knew that he wouldn’t let anyone pull his hair, looks likerelatives weren’t an exception. Mikee’s expression didn’t look as hyper as it did before. I guess she hates it when people are mad at
her.

“Ray… I’m sorry…” she said all cousinly-like, which was sweet in a way. Why can’t Mikey be
like that? Seeing the puppy-dog face that his cousin was pulling, Ray couldn’t help but sigh.

“Okay… it’s all right… just don’t pull my hair again…” he said.

“Ray-ray’s too hair conscious.” Mikee said, pulling his hair again. Oops, I guess I was wrong
there. It must be a cousin’s job to annoy their other cousins.

“Aaaaah! You could be sooooooo annoying at times!”

“I can’t help it! I’m hyper!”

“That’s always your excuse!”

“So what if it’s always my excuse?! Get a hair cut for God’s sake! I couldn’t surf photos at
buzznet without seeing you and your big hair!”

“Oh so now you’re the expert on hair styling!”

“At least mine’s more manageable!”

At this I saw Ray reach his hand out and pluck a strand of black hair from his cousin, ow, that
must’ve hurt.

“Ow! What the fuck Ray! I never pulled your hair that hard! Now you’re going to get it!”

“Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! Get her off me!!!!” Ray shouted as Mikee had attacked him and started
messing his hair up.

Mikey’s POV:

It seems hat the whole room was filled with bickering relatives, Frankie and Nadine had started arguing about Nadine always trying to fix Frankie up, and Frankie finds it annoying.

“Would you just lay off?! I could clean myself up!” Frankie said as he shoved Nadine’s hand away from fixing his hair, Nadine scoffed.

“You? Clean yourself up? Nuh-uh, not going to happen.” she said.

“Excuse me Nadine, but I try my best to be as clean as I want to be! So stop fussing over me!”

“Well your ‘best’ isn’t clean enough!”

Oh God… there they go again.

“Why do you always act as if I did something wrong?!” wow, was that Gerard? That’s new, the
last time I heard him shout like that was when he… broke-up with his girlfriend.

“It’s none of your business! So just fuck off! If I don’t like you then I don’t like you!” Anna
shouted back at him.

“How could I just fuck off when you’re always mad at me for no reason?!”

“Simple! Just… fuck off!”

“You’re not making any sense!”

“So what if I’m not?!”

Soon I am in an ocean full of boy vs. girl shouting at each other and exchanging insults and pulling each other’s hair… well… in Ray and Mikee’s case. There were only four girls so that leaves me to no fighting partner, lucky me. So I guess it’s probably up to me to break the fights up before things get nasty… a pillow just flew past me coming from Anna and Gerard’s direction. I think Nadine just slapped Frankie. Did Abi just kick Bob in the balls? What’s hair doing on the floor?!

Yeah… I better stop this.

I turn to the clock on the living room to see that it’s almost time for dinner.
Maybe I should go order something? But if I leave… what’ll happen to these guys here? I have to think of something that could make them stop first. Just then I see the stereo and some CDs lying there, undisturbed. I shrugged, guessing it was one way of getting their attention.
