Chapter 6 Time Alone
The girls had finally walked to the hotel and were fully pumped, Kate hadn’t shut up since she left the Lakewood arena, just going on and on about the concert and being able to meet MCR.
The girls walked into the hotel lobby and at the bar they saw Bob sitting there, he looked over to them and waved for them to come over.
The girls walked over to Bob. “Hey I thought I’d meet you, wasn’t sure if Gee told you where our rooms were”
Kate spoke “Actually he didnt, I guess we would have been knocking on everyone’s door”
“Well come with me then, we are gonna have a couple of drinks up in mine and Ray’s room”
“Cool sounds like a plan”
The girls followed Bob to the lift where they went up to the 15th floor, they walked along the hallway till they got to the room, As Bob put the card in the door to unlock the door, Kate took a deep breath, not only was she excited about being able to spend time with a band in which she loved there music, all she could keep thinking about was Gerard and she didnt know why, he seemed like a nice person and showed interest in what she had to say and it didnt seem to effect him that she was famous. Not like every other guy she had been on dates with.
The door opened and inside Kate could see everyone just sitting around drinking having a couple of beers, though straight away Kate noticed that Gerard was just drinking a can of soda.
Slowly she walked further into the room, everyone said hi and Kate found herself sitting next to Gerard.
“Hello again”
“Hi”
“So you found the hotel alright then?”
“Yeah it was just a short walk from the arena, it was nice to get a little bit of exercise, oh cool you have a balcony, sweet I am dying for a cigarette”
“Well if your gonna have one I’ll join you then”
Kate walked towards the balcony as Gerard followed her, as Kate walked Gerard just watched her walk gracefully to the door, he couldn’t help but feel towards her- maybe it was just a sixth sense, but there was something about her.
As Kate lit up her smoke, she gave her lighter to Gerard so he could spark his up as well.
“This might be a stupid question but what is your accent”
Kate looked at him and smiled “I’m from Australia,, but I have been in the States for nearly 9 years now so I kind of have a mix. If I’m with a bunch of Aussies then that is all you will hear”
Gerard and Kate continued to talk, to them it seemed like they had only been talking a short while, but Mikey then opened the sliding door to the balcony and popped his head out “you know you guys have been out here for like 3 hrs, its like 2 in the morning and we all want to go to bed”
Gerard looked at Mikey “Fuck really, it doesn’t seem that we have been talking that long”
Kate got up from the chair she had been sitting on “I guess that’s my queue to leave then, do you know where Keisha is?
“Yeah she has gone to sleep in my room, Frankie was doing shots with her and she couldn’t keep up and kinda started to fall asleep”
“Oh shit, I’m so sorry, I’ll have to wake her to take her back to our motel”
Mikey just laughed, “Don’t worry bout it, I have another bed in my room, she can just crash there”
“Really, ok then, I’ll come get her in the morning then”
Gerard looked towards Kate “Don’t worry bout it, you can just crash in my room, saves you having to go anywhere”
“Are you sure?”
“I wouldn’t have said so it wasn’t”
“Fair enough”
Gerard and Kate walked back into Bob’s room and said goodnight to everyone, As Kate walked out of the room, Gerard turned around he saw that Frank was making sex moves, Gerard just stared at him and mouthed fuck you
and Frank mouthed back you know you want to.
As Gerard left the room he stuck his finger up and closed the door.
Kate followed Gerard to his room, they walked in
“You can have the double I’ll take the single”
“Are you tired?”
“Not really, wanna watch some tv?”
“Sounds good”
As they both sat on the double bed they put on the TV to find there was nothing to watch, so they continued to talk, it seemed to flow so naturally for them like they had been friends for ever, before they new it, it was already 5am
Kate looked at the clock “Time goes quick when your having fun, I think its time to get some forty winks”
Gerard moved closer towards Kate and ran his fingers down her cheek, Kate had her guard up she wasn’t in the mood for a one night stand and hope he felt the same.
Gerard looked into Kate’s blue eyes and could tell that she was nervous, he slowly put his hand to the back of her neck and pulled her face closer to his and whispered “Don’t be nervous, I don’t want to do anything you don’t want to”
Kate couldn’t believe it, he knew how she felt, its like they had an instant connection, she slowly let her guard down and lifted her arm around Gerard’s neck as she moved an inch closer towards him, slowly Gerard used his other hand touched her cheek and then moved in with his lips so that they were barely touching, Kate with her head slightly tilted used her lips to kiss Gerard, it was like an explosion when there lips touched, starting from slow sensual kisses it got deeper, using his tongue he slid it into Kate’s mouth where her tongue met his and they were entwined.
Kate had never been kissed like this before, as there kiss parted Gerard continued to look into Kate’s eyes
Gerard felt the same to him that kiss felt magical and he wanted more of that magic.
Kate looked at Gerard and smiled “I feel like I know you, it so hard to explain”
“I feel the same, maybe we should get some sleep”
Kate cuddled into Gerard as he put his arm around her and pulled her closer, “Goodnight” “Night” as he gave her a kiss on the cheek.
