I never said i'd lie and wait forever
22. Distant Voices
I lie on my bed shaking as tears fall from my eyes. I hear a voice in the distance. I ignore it . Block it out , not wanting to live any more.
I close my eyes and try to fall into a gentle sleep but I hear the voice again. Louder.
''Emily , Are you here ?''
Oh my god its gerard . I look at the clock and it shows 2 oclock. I had totally forgot.
''Yeah Gerard im here , Ill be right down.''
I tie the knot on my dressing gown and slip on some panties before heading downstairs.
Gerard was stood in my hall, His hair slightly wet and his clothes clinging to his pale skin. He smiled upon seeing me but it soon faded once he saw my tear stained face,
We sat on the sofa and his eyes told me he understood and he would wait if I needed time to talk.
