Nice and Blue.

Originally, this was written for the monthly competition, but seeing how I suck with deadlines, I was too late. Never mind that, I want you to read it, it's the most realistic piece I've managed to write so far, and if you notice some Stephen King in it, you're not imagining it, I'm reading "It" yet again and I keep failing at escaping his oh, so mighty influence over my feeble writing skills.

Facing the death sentence is pretty much the ultimate torture for those deserving of it. In my opinion, the perfect punishment for the ultimate criminal would not be death itself but an eternity of expecting it. It could come today, tomorrow or the next day... And in my upside down, twisted fantasy world, the perfect punishment is described at the end of the following story.
  1. Nice and Blue.
    Here goes nothing.
