Book of Panic

Chapter Four

This is the second day in Panic. After a couple hours here in Panic I had decided to write after a couple hours of being there. Unfortunately I could not begin to write till the next day, which is now. As the moment I had decided to write, a terrible beast had appeared. I believe it was a Minotaur. I had just sat down upon a rock with the terrible thing appeared. It swung its think wooden club at me, a few metal spikes sticking out at the top. I barely managed to grab my bag and moved out of the way when the tool came crashing down and it smashed the rock to pieces! My was that creature strong. I threw my journal, the one I'm writing now, in my bag with the magical pen and ran like hell's hound were at my feet.

Before I continue my adventure I should tell you how I appeared in Panic, that is if anyone will read this in the future. I was given the necklace I wear around my neck by my mother, who had been given by her mother and it by her mother. All the way back to as far as anyone could ever remember. And when I will have child, I shall give it to her to wear around her neck. When I put it on all seemed normal, but that night I took a stroll in the forest surrounding our family grounds. Once I reached my favorite clearing around the lake and small tiny rock mountain. I picked up my skirt and kneeled, running my fingers threw the water and thinking of finding of who I really am and the necklace started to glow. At once all these thoughts and different voices of women flittered threw my mind. I didn't understand really, until that is when I heard the voices of my mother and grandmother. Actually I even think I heard the voice of my great grandmother. Then at that point I realized I was hearing the voices, and thoughts of my female ancestors. The ancestors who had wore the necklace before passing it on to their daughter. Soon the voices faded and I heard a pulsing, I was already startled at the voices, so that naturally startled me more. During the pulsing a voice spoke to me. Her voice was heavenly, it showed she could be strong and fierce, or kind and loving, I knew it was the first of our line. The Lady Amadare, the first warrior, the first queen, the first mother, the first wife, the first priestess, the first empress, the first everything. She told me to say a spell and be prepared to travel for awhile. Therefore I stood and picked up my skirts running back to the castle, I was at the vacation castle at the time and not the palace. Sorry to inform you of that, as so many people loved. I ran strait up to my tower threw things in a leather bag, lined with oiled paper. Along with clothes and some non-perishable food I placed this journal in there along with a pen. The pen, this pen, writes in whatever language the reader is most comfortable reading in and never runs out of ink. With that I changed my clothes, can't go to a new place that involves adventure in a gown now can you? So I put on clothes that my father wouldn't agree with to much. Pants and a sort of tunic like shirt. English style tunic I believe, my cousin had picked it up on one of his many trips to Gaia and their countries. Once I belted it to my and placed my dagger at my hip I left back to the same area I love so much. There I recited the spell and appeared in this land known as Panic. I wondered in the forest for a couple hours. Then I sat to write this. Now I suppose I should get back to the story correct?

There of course were most likely hell hounds in Panic, but I shall get to that later. I ran extremely fast and then Minotaur ran fast too. I thought at any minute it would catch me, as I wasn't used to the terrain of Panic. I mean it was all forest, or should I say jungle or such but I had never been there and there were strange plants and animals. I tripped, at the moment I could almost swore the tree root had moved, later He told me they probably did. I turned expecting to be killed and this white blur ran by and blood splattered everywhere. Neither my blood nor the white blur's but the Minotaur's. He fell hard and I tried to catch my breath as I looked around. After a couple seconds I finally spotted the white blur that had killed the Minotaur and in the process saved me.
Later on I had asked him if he had killed the Minotaur to save me and he wouldn't answer me. I wonder if he'll answer me later.
There he stood, about six foot three, almost a hundred and ninety pounds maybe a couple less. His age looked to be around twenty two, twenty three. What stood out the most I guess was his white hair, it was strait and to his waist. Along with that he had a scar from his right shoulder to his left hip. The scar, from the coloring, was probably only two or three years old. I wonder who gave it to him, though with those cold green eyes that glared at me I would have thought it was me who gave it to him. His eyes were a lighter green then mine might I tell you though.
He walked over and grabbed my forearm pulling me up and looked me up and down with distaste and turned. Motioning me to follow him as he walked. I, of course, wasn't to keen on that. I mean he looked at me with hatred and he had the strength to kill a Minotaur with what appeared to be only his bare hands.
I felt a strange connection to him; still do, so I followed silently. He led me to this almost hidden cave and walked in. I hesitated for a bit then followed. Inside was nice; he had lit a couple candles so I could see. The candles shone so brightly though I knew they were made with something other then just regular wax. I stood there till he turned back to me and then he just watched me. I was going to wait till he spoke but I teetered on my feet and my eyes drooped as I began to get extremely dizzy. I started to fall over as I was feeling so weak along with being dizzy. I managed to straiten myself but within a couple seconds I started to fall again. Only difference is that I couldn't straiten myself and I feel. To my knees then to the side, my right. My eyes started to close completely and everything was blurry and spinning. I remember before I passed out he walked over to me and knelt.
Considering I awoke this morning on a pallet, a bed on the floor pretty much, I gather he picked me up and carried me there. This confused me as he looked at me with hatred. After I gathered my surroundings I stood and walked around till I got outside of the cave and spotted him sitting on a large rock looking out at nothing. He glanced at me as I approached, the hatred had dimmed but it was obvious he still didn't like me. I bowed a bit, it wasn't proper for me to bow down to anyone yet he did save my life and give me shelter. Then I asked him his name, he didn't answer, none the less I spoke my name. Sasoma, saw-so-ma, just so as you know. He looked at me again and sneered almost. In my natural hot temper reaction I grumbled and found my own rock. Then I sat and wrote what you are reading now. I'm looking at him right now.
Ah about ten minutes since I last wrote the above. He told me to follow him, so he could keep an eye on me as he...cleaned. All he did was take his shirt off, that I am to say. But the scar I mentioned above I could see better, then I noticed how it was shaped. At first it looked like a regular jagged slash but it wasn't. The scar was made from the special weapon of my necklace. You see for protection, in great need, a staff is formed out of the tiny teardrop emerald jewel on my necklace. The power that emanates from it causes that type of scar.
Therefore I have solved the reason why he looks at me with such hatred, someone who has worn my necklace has attacked him. Since, as I had said before, the scar is only a couple years old it was my mother who put it there. I bare a great resemblance to my mother, other then hair and eye color, I think he knows this and despises me for my relation. In awhile I believe I shall ask him why my mother attacked him and other things about him. Perhaps his name?

Raelene is reading the journal as is, you aren't transported to that time. So no need to worry that my writing skills have gotten worse.
