Crossed Paths

The girls walked down to the kitchen where Zacky was now sitting eating some cereal and Matt and Syn sitting at the breakfast bar just talking.
“Morning,” Ashleigh said in a sing song voice.
“Morning,” the boys replied,
“So what’s this whole NO! Thing Matt’s been telling us about?” Syn asked.
“Oh, it’s just this thing we learnt about when we went to one of our many schools.” Ashleigh said vaguely.
“What’s it about?” Matt asked,
“Um, it was during a…Sex ed lesson. About… how to say no to sex.” Ashleigh replied,
“Why would anyone have to say no to sex in this house?” Matt asked,
“Oh no, we were just saying that if anything were to happen we would know how to say no,” Roxy replied. She could see Zacky smirking out the corner of her eye and she had to try her hardest to keep a smirk off of her own face.
“Right?” Matt said, not really believing her.
“So, what are you guys up to today?” Ashleigh asked quickly to change the subject.
“Well, Jane left us to look after you while she’s at work.” Syn said,
“To look after us? We’re 16 we don’t need babysitters,”
“No, sorry that didn’t come out right. I meant she left us to show you round.”
“Ok? So what are we doing then?”
“Well, there’s a mall in town, we can go there if you want?” Zacky suggested,
“Do you think that just because we’re girls, we love shopping?” Roxy asked,
“Well, yeah.”
“Meh,” Roxy shrugged,
“So is that a yes?” Syn asked,
“It’s a yes.” Ashleigh stated,
“Well, we say shopping, we are actually just going to look, cause we don’t have any money. But either way the mall sounds good.”
“Er, hello, we do kind of have quite a bit of money. Just look at this place. Anyway mum told me to take you to get some new stuff. Even though she knows how much I hate shopping, especially with girls” Matt said,
“Seriously?” Roxy asked. Matt nodded and Roxy jumped up and down in excitement, “Wow, thank you!!!!”
“Right, can we go?” Syn asked,
“Yeah, come on.” Matt said, walking towards the hall.
“Hey, where are Jimmy and Johnny?” Ashleigh asked, only just noticing they weren’t there,
“Jimmy’s with his parents, it’s his mums birthday, and Johnny just tagged along with him. They’re staying there tonight.” Zacky said, as he and Syn followed Matt down the hall
“Oh, ok.” Ashleigh said, also following the guys, Roxy just behind her.
Matt unlocked his car and they all piled in, Ashleigh, Roxy and Zacky in the back, and Syn and Matt in the front. The car was silent for the first few minutes, until Ashleigh got annoyed and finally spoke,
“Have you got any music or something to put on? I hate this silence.”
“Um, yeah sure.” Syn said, quickly grabbing a CD from the door. A few seconds later Dear God by Avenged Sevenfold came blasting through the speakers.
“I should have guessed you’d put your own music on.” Roxy laughed,
“Hey, what can we say? We’re big fans.” Matt smirked. Roxy just laughed as Matt and Syn started singing. Then she joined, with Zacky and Ashleigh as the chorus kicked in…
