It's Been a Lifetime We've Waited For

One.

"Hayley!" I heard an annoying high pitched voice call my name. "Hayley! Wake up or your going to be late to school! NOW!"
Of course, it was my annoying step mother, Sarah.
"Whaaaaat?!" I yelled back at her, with my head still under my covers.
"You heard me! Now get up!"
"I don't have school today, yesterday was my last day remember?" I finally looked up at her. "So can you please leave my room?"
"Whatever." Sarah walkd out and slammed my door.

(4 hours later, 10:00 a.m.)

"Ughhh." I moaned to myself.
The sound of my loud cell phone woke me.
I reached down on my floor for it, and after a minute of searching I grabbed it.
"Hello?" I answered it, sounding annoyed.
"Hey! Whats up?" It was Riley.
"Ughh, Ry."
"What? Were you busy?"
"Sort of. I was asleep. Why do you get up so early?"
"I don't. You just sleep in too late."
"Haha." I said sarcastically.
"Well get up because I'm going to come and getchuu."
"Where are you taking me?"
"I don't know. Let's go to star bucks."
"Okay I'm up."

****

"Are you sure you want a small?" Riley asked me.
"Yesss. For the last time."
"Okay, sorry."

Riley and I walked over to a table in Star Bucks and sat by the window.
"What do you want to do today anyways? I mean, since you woke me up."
"I don't know. I just wanted someone to come here with me." Riley answered as she had her straw in her mouth.
"Thanks." I said sarcastically.
"I'm kidding!" Riley laughed. "What do you want to do?"
"I don't know. Go home and go back to sleep maybe?"
"You sleep too much."
"You don't get enough sleep."
"Fair." Riley looked out the window. "Ughh. I hate it when it storms."
"Yeah I know. It's so depressing." I looked out the window as well.
"Whoa, that scared me." Riley said almost 2 minutes later.
"What? The thunder?"
"No. Some boy who walked across the street looked like Kyle."
"Kyle? Kyle who?"
"Hayley. Don't be stupid you know who I'm talking about."
"You mean Kyle Burns? It couldn't be him. He doesn't come down here until June."
"So? That doesn't mean that he couldn't of came early duhhhhh."
"Yeah but maybe you were looking at someone else."
"Okay Hayley." Riley said as if she was sorry she started the whole conversation.
"Sorry."
"It's okay. Are you ready to go? I don't want to sit here all day."
"Yeah."

Riley and I got up from the table and walked outside to find Riley's car.
Before we got in, something caught out eye.
There was a fight just across the street. A girl and a boy fighting, actually.
They must have been boyfriend and girlfriend or something, I mean the way they were fighting you could just tell.
"Geez, can't they go somewhere else and do that?" Riley said as she opened her car door and stopped to look at me. "Hayles, whats wrong?"
"That girl. She looks familier."
"Oh." Riley looked over at the girl who was screaming at her boyfriend.
Then, it hit me.
That was Kyle's sister, Morgan.
That means Kyle is here.
Then out of no where, Kyle showed up trying to break his sister and her boyfriend away from eachother as they were causing a scene.
And my heart dropped.
I opened the car door and got in really fast and slammed the door.
"Hey Hayley, isn't that-" she was cut off by me.
"Yes, Riley. Can you get us out of here? I don't want him to see me." I put by head in my hand.
"Whats the big deal?" Riley got into the car and started it.
"Nothing. I just want to hang out at home." I looked out the window.
"Okay...I'll hang out with you."

Riley started off driving, but the street had a dead end, which means we had to turn around.
When we drove past where Kyle and his sister, and her boyfriend was, I was thinking.
So I starred out the window and at that moment, Kyle and I made eye contact.
