Draco Malfoy's Dirty Little Secret

It Only Gets Worse

DRACO'S P.O.V.

I couldn't help but smirk when Evie said that she loves me. It was over, it had to be. We'd been through so much together in such a little amount of time. Surely even the Dark Lord would realize that we're meant to be together and give it up.

"Awh, how touching," Voldemort hissed through clenched teeth.

I saw Evie smirk at him, and wrapped my arms around her protectively.

Damn. She already had the Malfoy smirk. She was definitely coming along nicely.

"Now, Evelyn; Draco," Voldemort began, "I still don't think it's best for you to be together. It will distract from your mission. You can't possibly be trusted to get any work done with all these feelings mucking about."

"What!?!" Evie shouted. I felt her tense in my arms.

"You never said in our vow that I had to allow you to be with Draco," he smiled at his warped thought, "Besides, you don't want to be a cheating whore like your mother do you?"

It took all my strength to hold Evelyn back as she lunged for Voldemort. I don't know what in Merlin's name she planned on doing, but it couldn't be intelligent in the slightest.

"Who would I be cheating on by being with Draco? You agreed that we wouldn't be married," she growled.

"Yes, I know that I did. However, if YOU choose not to be kin to both Harry and myself, I need someone who is going to be."

"What are you saying?" she asked. For some reason, when she said that, I understood. I pulled her closer and rested my chin on her shoulder.

"Take it back, love," I whispered to her, "Say you'll marry him."

"No!" she screamed, pulling herself from my grasp angrily. "Why would you want me to do that, Drake? After all I've done! If I marry him, I can't be with you!"

Evelyn broke into sobs. I reached for her, but she backed away as if my arms were the snakes she so greatly feared.

"My dear," Voldemort said, "You must still not get it. Draco was just looking out for you. He has your best interests at heart. Apparently he believes you would have preferred the old plan to this new one I have concocted."

"Which is?" she spat.

"Well, I am related to myself. You are related to Harry. The person in the prophecy must be related to both," he explained.

Evelyn's face froze in fear. It had hit her. This time, she ran willingly back into my arms. She began to sob even harder than before as she clung to me. Her whole body was trembling.

"Um, my Lord?" I heard Sophie squeak from near the door. "I still don't understand."

"Well, Sophie, dear," he whispered sweetly, "The only way to get a person that shares mine and Harry's blood, is for Evelyn and I to have a child."

With a thud, Sophie hit the floor. Evelyn glanced at her in disgust. I struggled to repress a laugh, Sophie fainted when Evie cried. Montague would never let her live that down.

"So, Evelyn?" Voldemort said merrily, "I'll give you some time to prepare. When you're home on holiday this Christmas, you'll complete the new mission?"

She didn't answer; she just clung to me and trembled. She wouldn't face the Dark Lord. My heart broke with every sob she let out. I wanted to kill him. I wanted to cause him the pain I felt with every tear of Evie's which wetted my shirt.

"Draco, please take Evelyn back to Hogwarts," he gestured towards the fireplace, "All of you, go! You have classes in the morning. We must keep up our grades to represent the Pureblood community well!"

Sophie had just woke up and could hardly stand. Montague supported her over to the fireplace. Evelyn wouldn't move. She was frozen to the spot. I scooped her up in my arms bridal style. She wrapped her arms around my neck, and kept her face buried in my shoulder.

When we got back to Hogwarts, I set Evie down on the ground. She released me and looked shyly up at our closest friends. Pansy immediately left the common room. She obviously didn't want to deal with our problems right now.

Crabbe and Goyle sat down on one of the couches. After a few moments, Montague, Blaise, and I did the same. We had no idea what to do to comfort Evie. Sophie and Marissa just hugged her until the tears stopped flowing.

"Let's go to bed," Marissa suggested motherly, "You can have a nice warm shower and I'll fix you up a sleeping potion."

Evelyn nodded weakly as Sophie took her arm and led her up to the girls' dormitories.

Crabbe and Goyle went up to bed shortly after the girls left.

"Draco?" Blaise asked sometime later. "How are we going to get Evie out of this mess?"

"I don't think we can, mate," I answered honestly.

"Guys? I know this is a bad time," Montague began, "But I fancy Sophie. Do you think I have a chance with her?"

I threw a pillow forcefully at his head. He smirked.

"I'm going to take that as a yes," he stated smugly.

I couldn't help but shake my head and smile at him. If only life were as simple for us all as it was for Monty. Lucky bastard.

---

I'd been lying in bed awake for nearly an hour, when I heard a knock at the door. I looked around to see if anyone else was awake. Crabbe and Goyle were snoring contently, and Monty was whispering in his sleep inaudibly. Blaise mouthed, 'You get it" at me, then laid his head back on his pillow and closed his eyes.

Lazy ass. How come I had to be the one to get up?

I groaned, but reluctantly got up. When I opened the door, Evelyn was standing there, fully dressed.

"I need to do something," she stated, "But I need the help of a prefect."

"So get Sophie," I yawned, "She's a prefect."

"I don't want to involve her in this. Please, Draco."

"Oh, fine. Bloody hell. Let me put on some clothes." She sat patiently on my bed and waited for me to get dressed.

"Where are we going?" I asked as we headed out of the common room.

"The restricted section of the library," she answered.

"Why?"

"Well, I checked all of the books from the vault, and they don't have what I'm looking for. But they recommended one that might," she said.

"Evelyn, what are you looking for?"

"A form of magical abortion."

I didn't want to help her look, but I did it anyway. We spent two hours in the library and couldn't find anything. As I had originally thought, the search was hopeless. When we got back to the common room, I headed straight for my dorm.

"Draco?" she whispered. "Can I stay with you tonight?"

I nodded and took her hand, leading her to my dorm. When we got there, Blaise appeared asleep, however I thought I saw him glare at me disapprovingly.

Evelyn laid her head on my chest, and I wrapped my arms around her. I waited for her breathing to slow and grow regular before I let myself drift to unconsciousness. Never in my life had I slept so peacefully. But sadly, my bliss was ruined when I woke up alone.
