Rebel Without a Cause Matt Sanders

Teacher: Danny, wake up this isn't nap time.

He opened his eyes.

Danny: I wasn't sleeping just had my eyes closed.

Teacher: ofcourse.

Melly: try to stay awake for my sake baby.

I rubbed his upper leg. His eyes wandered to my bare legs. I smiled.

Danny: so what happened to you yesterday?

Melly: wasn't feelin' like bein' here.

Danny: oh, well it was fuckin' boring without you.

Melly: life is boring without me, my sweet.

Danny: didn't help that Matt disappeared either.

Melly: so you were all alone, I'm sorry. Let me try to make it up to you.

Danny: how you gonna do that?

I scooted my desk closer to his. I hugged him. He smiled.

Danny: thanks.

I grabbed his face and shoved my tounge in his mouth. It surprised him at first then he relaxed. I glanced at the teacher. I pushed my desk away. Danny sat there without a word. A small smile wanting to grace his lips.

Melly: what are you doing today?

I whispered.

Danny: me and Matt are supposed to do something.

Melly: forget him. Come chill with me.

Danny: but.

Melly: don't worry Danny. He'll understand he's your friend right?

He nodded.

Melly: ok then.

I stood up as the bell rang. Making my way out the door. First step has been taken. Second to be exact. I gave Jenn a look.

Jenn: its already the fourth day, Melly. We were only supposed to be here a week. Haner told me, we have to be here another.

Melly: chill.

Jenn: no.

Melly: then don't come back. I won't be hurt if I'm here alone.

She stayed silent.

Danny: wait Melly.

I stopped. Jenn did to and looked at him.

Danny: hey Jenn. I can't hang out with you Melly, Matt-

I put my hands on his chest.

Melly: aww come on Danny. You probley hang out with him all the time.

I ran my hands up and down.

Danny: I know, but Matt said this was important.

I wrapped my arms around his middle. Jenn watched amused. She knew my game.

Danny: I can't.

Melly: come on baby. Just hang out with me for a bit.

I felt Jenn nudge me lightly. Her eyes wandered to him. He was coming towards us.

Danny: its important though. He said it was.

Melly: important for who Danny? You or him?

He frowned a bit. He shook his head. That simple question pulled a string.

Danny: I can't.

I brushed my lips against his. Not even a real kiss. Just the feel. Matt walked up as I pulled away from Danny. His expression was one of interest.

Matt: Danny, ladies.

I crossed my arms and looked at Jenn. Danny looked at Matt.

Jenn: morning Matt.

Danny: what happened to you man? I was here all fuckin' alone.

Matt glanced at me.

Matt: oh I started to feel shitty.

Danny: sure dude.

Matt: I did.

I leaned and whispered in Danny's ear.

Melly: if you change your mind, I'll be out front.

He nodded and into class we went. P.E. was the only class me and Matt had together. Just the two of us.

Teacher: Matt, Melly.

We made our way over.

Teacher: you guys were gone yesterday. Unexcused it looks like.

Melly: actually, don't mean to interupt but I have a note.

I held a paper between my fingers. Matt stared at me. I smiled. The teacher took and scaned it quickly.

Teacher: the dentist?

Melly: yeah got to keep these pearly whites looking good.

I smiled exposing my teeth. The teacher nodded.

Teacher: and you Matthew?

Matt: you buy that fake note?

Melly: are you accusing me of being a liar?

Matt: yes.

Teacher: now Matthew, just because you got caught doesn't mean you should try to bring other people down with you. I know a fake note when I see one. I'm gonna give you a detention for skipping.

He sighed.

Teacher: now both of you get to your laps.

Matt: that note is shit.

Melly: he didn't think so. Plus how would you know, unless you were watching me.

I winked and he stopped. I hate running, unless necessary. I let people pass me. I'm not trying to run a marathon. Its school P.E.

Matt: so what was with you and Danny in the hall way earlier?

Melly: what did it look like?

Matt: I don't know.

Melly: then niether do I.

We stayed silent for our laps. Our breathing coming together. Our steps unison. He made running look effortless. But he seemed to be built for it. I was suprised he actually stayed next to me.

Teacher: ok today we are doing two against two. Pick your partner.

Matt: Melly.

Melly: you really want me as your partner?

Matt: yeah.

Melly: why?

Matt: because.

I perked a brow.

Matt: I'm going to make sure you're coming to detention.

Melly: oOoOo vengeance. I like the taste of that. Fine I will be your partner. I like your motives.

We paired up and played. I didn't have todo much. Just pass the ball to him. He did all the point making. It was even easier when we were up against two girls. Like in this case. Two of my former group mates. Kate and Megan.

Kate: oh Matt go easy on us, won't you?

She said in a disgustingly sweet voice.

Matt: oh you know I will.

The two girls laughed.

Melly: on with the show.

We started and I wasn't being nice. I pushed. I shoved. Same thing. But it worked.

Kate: Melly. You don't need to push.

Melly: its just a part of the game.

Matt: Melly ease up.

He said with an annoying smirk.

Melly: why don't you try to get some pussy on your own time.

Matt: you're getting to into the game.

Melly: fuck that, I'm not going to ease up cause you told me to.

Matt: oh come on.

Melly: just cause you like their cute body and faces, doesn't mean I'm listening to you fuck face. Get that through your head.

Kate: stop being such a bitch.

Melly: you stop being a bitch.

I said non-chantly.

Kate: I don't like your attitude.

Melly: oh fuck you. Man up. On with the game.

So we continued. I was dribbling the ball. Waiting for an opportune moment to pass it to Matt. But the bitch was in my way. I felt the crunch of her nose against my elbow. A yelp followed. I looked over my shoulder. Blood was slipping between her fingers and on to the clean waxed floor.

Kate: dumb bitch, you did that on purpose!!

Melly: fuck you, it was an accident. We are playing a game where getting hurt is possible. What would I get from hitting you?

Kate: liar! You did that on purpose!

Her fake nailed fingers ripped across my face. That doesn't fly in my book. I grabbed her hair and smashed her bloodly face to the floor.

Melly: I said it was an accident you stupid bitch.

Some tears leaked out of her black outlined eyes.

Teacher: what's going on here.

Melly: I accidently elbowed her in the face and the bitch clawed my face.

The teacher sighed.

Teacher: Matt is that how it went?

He glanced at me.

Matt: yeah. But Melly defitnatly did more damage.

Teacher: both of you detention. Now go get cleaned up. Matt go with them so they don't fight.

Matt: why me?

Teacher: because I said. Now go.

We walked to the bathroom. I kept my distance from the unstable bitch. I can't get kicked out of the school just yet. She looked back at me. Her blue eyes firey with anger.

Kate: you are so paying if you broke my nose.

She spat.

Matt: I told you I would get you in detention.

He smiled happily. I smiled back.

Melly: you are starting to be my kind of guy.

I looked in the mirrior. I examined my scratches and looked at Kate. She glared at me.

Matt: so this is what the girls locker room looks like.

Melly: fuck this I'm changing.

I started to pull off my shirt as I made my way to my locker. I heard her scoff. I rolled my eyes. Like he's never seen a half naked chick. I put on my white button up. I pulled off the sweats the school had given me. I looked over at the two. Who watched me intently.

Melly: ain't got nothing you've never seen.

Kate: I can't believe you'd just change infront of him like that.

Melly: why? Cause you wish it was you he was staring at half naked?

I pulled up the skirt and grabbed my shit.

Melly: here let me make your dreams come true.

I pulled her pants down and she shrieked. I didn't stick around for a reaction. I walked out the front and leaned against the wall.

Danny: what happened to you?

I smiled.

Melly: a kitty cat named Kate.

He frowned. He pushed my hair back to get a better look.

Danny: looks like it hurts.

I shrugged.

Melly: so are you here to hang out with me?

He shoved his hands in his pockets.I grabbed his arm and we walked away from the school.

Melly: where do you live?

He led me to his house. Nothing extream. Just an average house. He took me inside.

Danny: no ones home.

Melly: out working?

He nodded. I scanned my surroundings.

Danny: I'm gonna change.

He started for his room and I followed. He looked back at me. I smiled. His room was big. Not to bad. Not messy not clean. I sat on the bed and watched him.

Danny: you're just going to watch.

Melly: unless you don't want me too.

He frowned and shrugged.

Melly: have you never had a girl in your room?

He shook his head.

Melly: oh.

I said surprised. I turned the other way.

Danny: its cool if you watch. I mean girls haven't been in here but I've been in their rooms. I don't bring any home.

Melly: why not?

Danny: I guess, just never wanted to. So that scratch makes you look totally badass.

He laughed a little.

Melly: I guess. Danny.

Danny: what?

Melly: what made you change your mind?

I laid back in his bed. My arms stretching above my head. He sat next to me.

Danny: its not everyday, a girl wants to hang out with me. And not because of who I know.

Melly: girls talk to you to get to him?

Danny: yeah, don't get me wrong I've gotten a few good ones but just cause their friend got him first.

Melly: why he's no better than you.

Danny: I know.

Melly: and what makes you so sure I'm not after him?

Danny: if you are its defitnatly not for dating purposes. But I don't think you are cause if you were judging by what I know about you, you would have bagged him already.

He smiled. Props to the kid. Now if only he actually believed his own words a little more than he does.
