The Fall

Ka-boom.

Today the Kid said something crazy.

"We need to hide,"

She just kept saying it.

Crying it.

We need to hide.

I said, "Shaddup, Kid, I'm trying to earn you a couple of McNuggets."

"WE NEED TO HIDE!"

Pulling my arm.

Get off!

Pulling Charlie's arm.

Charlie pulled his switchblade out and almost knifed her in the gut.

Holy shit.

He's nuts.

But the Kid kept going.

"You're gonna die!" She talks weird. Kind of slow in a way. it's hard to describe. "We need to hide!"

Finally I go, "Why?"

And she says, "We're gonna die."

"How?"

"It's gonna blow up!" She was crying. her nose was running. "We gotta hide!"

She's nuts too.

I'm around a bunch of nutters.

Jeez.
