The Fall

Benjamin Nye

Gregory left the document on my desk, but I didn’t look at it. I’ve been too preoccupied worrying about Winona.

I mean, any child of the age of twelve wouldn’t be able to handle themselves on the streets of Saint Valentine, but Winona’s not as developed as an average twelve year old child.

She’s always been a burden. I didn’t want her, but my wife did.

Now that she’s gone I can’t stop worrying about her.

“One less thing to handle,” Friedman said to me during one of our meetings. It shocked me how cold he was, but, then again, we are plotting to destroy an entire island.

It also shocked me how much his comment bothered me, and it bothers me still. I need to find her.

The bomb detonates in two weeks. I need to find her.

Sorry for the wait. This is a short one, but important nonetheless. =)
