Get Your Gun and Meet Me by the Door
Baby
"I know where we should go," I said when Frank and I were both awake.
"Oh yeah," Frank said. "Where?"
"We should go to Texas," I said.
"Texas?" he said. "Why?"
"Well, if we live at the very southern part of Texas, we can make a run for Mexico if we need to," I said.
"That could work," Frank said. "We wouldn't have to leave the country."
"Yeah," I said. "We'll have to lay low for a while and not draw attention to ourselves."
"That sounds good," Frank said.
"Good," I said.

We left the next day. We still had a few days of traveling before we'd reach Texas. The plan was, when we got to Texas, was to stay in a motel until we found a house, which we would buy.
"I'm so excited," I said, as we were driving down a highway.
"Why?" Frank asked. I shot him a playful glare.
"You know why," I said.
"Do I?" Frank asked, with a smile.
I just laughed at him.
"Well, to remind you," I started. "I'm excited because we're married and now we're going to get a house together."
"I guess that could be something to be excited about," Frank said.
"Shut up," I said. Frank laughed and I joined him. We sat in silence for a few minutes.
"Have you ever thought of having children?" Frank asked. I looked at Frank quickly.
"I'd love to have children," I said. I kept my eyes on the road. "I just don't think it would be a good idea right now, with our current situation."
"Yeah," Frank said. I could hear the hurt in his voice.
"If this works out for us," I started. "We'll definately have a kid, ok?"
"Ok," said Frank. I really hoped this would work. It would be wonderful to have a kid.
