You Saved me in the Moonlight

Nick blushed, and I ignored that, only concentrating on the movie.

When it was over, I had an urge.

"Um....does anybody have a spare notbook I could use?" I asked suddenly.

"Yeah, Nick always has some lying around. Why?" Joe asked, curious.

"I just need to do something, is all." I said, ignoring their curious stares.

Nick handed me a notepad and a pencil, and I closed my eyes, thinking.

Then, I had it.

The perfect scene.

I opened them again, and started sketching a rough outline.

I noticed they were trying to peek.

"No! Not until I'm done!" I announced, and ran into Joe's room.

Time flew by as I sketched, and I didn't notice Nick come in midway through my work.

When I finished, I sighed and examined my work.

"Not bad." I remarked.

"Not bad? It's pretty good!" Nick exclaimed, and stole the notebook from my hands, then ran out of the room.

"Hey! Give it back!" I ran after him.

But it was no use.

"Hey, Kevin, Joe! Look at this!" Nick held it up high, and I ran smack into him.

Somehow, Kevin still ended up with the book.

Joe was too busy playing Guitar Hero to notice what was happening.

"Erica, this is really good!"

I blushed, and snatched it back from him.

Then I examined it for any flaws.

I had drawn a sketch of Batman. He was standing, with his back towards me, and facing the city with open arms. In the background, it was raining.

"Eh, too flawed." I brushed off their compliments, and closed the notebook.
