Like a Shattered Mirror
Amanda and Garrett had been together for so long Amanda had gotten used to him being around. Those last five years had been the best of her life. Every day he made her smile and laugh or even cry from his spontaneity. He was the best guy in the world: sweet, romantic, yet he could be a man and always stood up for her.
Yet those smiles faded with minutes. In a matter of seconds those five years split down the middle and she was left with no more laughs or smiles. He only left her with tears as heartbreak took it's toll on Amanda. He left her bleeding on the floor and with one last phrase of departure,
"Please, don't cry, Amanda. You will always have me entirely."
But as she gaped for air on the floor, she had no time to obey his last request. How could she have him forever if he was gone for her whole life?
Smiles can only cover so many tears as they form puddles; falling in rhythm with the rain. And the only reason she has to smile is to keep up a good front for those who really care. But despite him walking out on her, she still loves him more than life.
But...
Will she be able to hold on when her life walked out the door?
