He Wears His Heart Safety Pinned To His Backpack

Chapter 1

Ronnie’s POV

The car went over a bump in the road which threw me towards the roof of the car.

“What the fu…?”I said rubbing my head.

“We’re nearly there” Dad said keeping his eyes on the road.

“Thank God I was getting bored of Ronnie snoring” Billy sniggered.

I whacked him in the head.

“Hey, you two stop it!” Dad shouted.

He glared at me rubbing his head.

I give him the fingers and turn to the window.

New Jersey was cover with graffiti. Dad said it was safe…I was undecided

We pulled into the drive.
“Wow” I said stepping out of the car.

The house was a cream colour. Around the windows it had a white rim to go with out picket fence. The pavement laced up to the stone stairs which went to the porch. The door was a blood red just to stand out.

Gerard’s POV

A new guy moved in next door to us.

I opened the blinds and looked to see who it was.

A boy with black hair stepped out and admired the house. He had a fringe covering his left eye. He wore a black iron maiden shirt and black skinny jeans.

Mikey and I decided to check him out. We walked out to the hedge fence.

“Welcome to the neighborhood” I said smiling.

“I’m Gerard and this Mikey.”

The boy looked about my age.

“Hi i'm Ronnie.” He said shaking my hand.

He smiled sweetly and turned when the furniture truck pulled in.
