‹ Prequel: Where's the Heart?

Love is a Two Way Street

Wrecked Him

Jade's P.O.V.

I wanted to bawl my eyes out. All I could think about was my Eddy. I had stalled all I could, but Jayden wasn't giving up. I had knocked over nearly everything in his room, but he ignored it all!

"Jayden please stop this!" I cried, holding the door shut. I was hiding in the bathroom. "Edwin, I love you," I whispered almost silently, not able to find my voice much at all.

"Why should I? Just open the goddam door!" he yelled, twisting the knob.

"Hell no! You're going to kill me!"

I felt like I was in a soap opera or something. Oh, but every story needs a title! How about "Poke and Run?" No, no. More like "Come here so I can Rape you then Murder you!"

Oh my god! It was the "Tale of the Murdering Rapist!" Oh dear lord my fictional tale had come true! You remember that story I told Edwin, right? It was a long time ago. I almost laughed, remembering how stupid we were back then, trying to control love.

"Go away you Mudering Rapist!" I cried.

"What the hell!?" I heard him ask himself. I almost laughed, but then I realized something: I was going to die. Hooray.

I relaxed a little, but not much. Still, it was enough to let Jayden break the door in. I shrieked as he stepped in and I stepped back. I started bawling as I backed into the wall. I was truly done for.

He smirked and stepped clumsily forward, trapping me where I stood. I glared at him through teary eyes.

"Relax. It won't hurt," he purred, lips on my neck.

"Get off, you bastard!"

Wait, that wasn't me. Well, if it was, then when did I get such a manly voice! No, definitely wasn't me. Thank God!

Anyway, I stood still as I saw Jayden get torn off of me. Edwin pulled me into his arms and kissed me feverishly.

"What did he do, Jade? What did he do?" he asked, more scared than me.

"Nothing," I forced out, kissing him quickly. I clung to him for dear life. I glanced past him at Jayden who had passed out. "I think he was drunk. Please don't do anything!"

"Jade, he's going to die," he hissed, trying to go to him, but I held him tightly.

"He won't even remember this tomorrow! Can't we forget this and go home? I love you. Please?"

"Jade! He--" I gave him puppydog eyes. "Oh God not the puppy face! Ugh! Jade, stop that!"

No man can resist the face of a thousand cute puppies!

"Please?"

"Let's just go home. We'll discuss this later."

I kissed him softly. As long as I was in his arms I felt so safe, like nothing could hurt me. I couldn't wait until we finally got married. But I hoped Quinn wasn't stressing out too much...
