I hope he was kidding. I hope that he hasn’t blown his chances. I hope Mia’s social worker doesn’t already hate him.

I just want my best friend to be happy. She deserves that. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her happier than when she's with Gerard. He's like her big brother.

I really hope that he can foster her. She needs a friend.

I know she has me but I wont be here much longer. No, I'm not dying. We’re moving to England. My mother has got a job there and we all have to go. I don’t get a choice. That’s why she wouldn’t foster Mia. Another person to take over to England with us.

I don’t know how I will tell Mia. She’ll be upset, and I know she’ll miss me. And I’ll miss her more than life itself.

I just hope Mia will be okay without me.
