Silence Is The Past

We got to the ground floor and then I grabbed his hand tight, he looked at me with a shocked face and then looked forward again and there was Miltilda, he walked slowly past her and I followed him quickly and soon enough we had left her behind,

"Don't worry she won't hurt you" he said holding my hand tighter,

I smiled at him and held his hand tight. We got outside and sat in a little alcove in the school wall, I took out my lunch and opened it slowly, I grabbed a ham sandwich and held it out to Mr Smith, he looked at me and then the sandwich and then me again,

"Oh no don't worry I'll get my lunch at lunch" he smiled at me,

I waved it a bit and then showed him my bag and all the food I had in there, he smiled and then took the sandwich,

"Well if your sure" he said smiling at me,

I nodded and he then took a bite out of it, I just stared at him eatting it, he then stopped and looked at me,

"It's nice"

I smiled and then blushed a little and looked away, he saw that I was blushing and put the sandwich down on my bag, he leant over so his face was nearer to mine and I turned around and jumped a little,

"Your blushing" he said pointing out the obvious,

I nodded and looked away again, he moves and sat next to me and wrapped his arm round me this made me blush even more,

"Why are you blushing?" he said gently,

I kept my view away from him and then he put his hand on my chin and moved it so I was looking at him,

"Why are you blushing?" he asked again,

I smiled at him and he guessed,

"Was it because you were watching me?" he guessed right,

I nodded and smiled a small smile,

"Aww don't worry about it" he said, and then he asked me a really weird question, "Why can't you speak?"

I knew why and I felt I could tell him but I was scared to, I hadn't even told Miltilda something had happened to me and I hadn't spoken ever since, I looked away and hid my face in my knees,

"Oh ok I won't ask again" he said taking his arm from around me and sitting back where he was before, I looked at him and a tear rolled down my face, he saw that and looked really sad, I then stood up and sat next to him and hugged him tight, he gasped for breath and then hugged me, I felt so safe with him and even though people gave us both evil looks when we were holding hands earlier he was a really nice guy,

"I'm sorry I made you cry" he said after a while,

I looked at him and smiled, it didn't matter if he made me cry he made me feel like I was special and I had never felt like that before. We both heard the bell for the next lesson go and we let go of each other quickly so no one would see us,

"What lesson have you got now?" Mr Smith asked me,

I shrugged as I didn't know, Miltilda had my timetable and I wasn't going to go up to her, I then packed up my bag I gave Mr Smith his sandwich, he quickly finished it and then we walked to reception.
