They got off the ship to not cause a distraction, instead they got on carriages and rode to the castle. Rhiannon and Gerard were in a funeral carriage to not have sun shine on them. Gerard was examining her neck and she got confused
"What are you doing?" she asked looking at him
"Well when a mate is away from the other for so long, once they get back together they have to reclaim property to each other" he said looking her eyes. Rhiannon nodded
"So in other words you have to bite my neck again" she said Gerard nodded
"Well it isn't like it's gonna hurt" she said smiling; he smiles back and kisses her deeply while touching her neck where her first bit her. His kisses trailed down to her neck and bit down gently. Rhiannon flinched a little but it didn't hurt like it did when she was human. He finally let’s go of her neck and reveals his neck to her. She took the hint and gently bit down in him, he just held her close to him as she feeds off him, making her his again.

They finally reach the castle and stayed in their carriages while the other went to see shelter. By night fall they got out their carriages and settled in a cave close to the castle.
"We'll stay here till we get word of where the underground is" Anabel said to the others, everyone went to sleep but the vampires and Pixie who was still holding her gun close
"Why do you have to have a gun?" Gerard asked "That won't kill us"
"That's why I have other weapons" she said gravely, Rhiannon sighed
"Can we be civilized please" she begged touching Gerard's shoulder, he looks at her
"You tried to pull your fangs out did you?" he asked looking at her fangs, she covered her mouth
"How did you know?" she asked, he laughed quietly
"Their whiter" he replied
Pixie rolled her eyes "I don't blame her"
Gerard looked at her "Are you still bitter that I changed your sister?" he asked Pixie looked back in a mean look
"Do you know what it's like to see your sister change to a blood sucking monster in front of your eyes? Then had to let her go so she can be with the monster responsible?" she replied
"Your sister was chosen, and she happy the way she is" he said
"Really?" she asked "she didn't seem happy when I found her"
Gerard just rolled his eyes and ignored her.
