Understanding a Car Crash

I was driving to Mia’s house going about 10 miles above the speed limit. It was dark out and pouring rain. Even the windshield wiper didn’t help. I was starting to get worried. What if I didn’t make it to Mia’s house?

I concentrated on driving and slowed down a bit so I wouldn’t skid off the road. A few cars skid and almost hit me, bit I managed to swerve out of their way. I only had about a mile to go to get to her house and I didn’t plan on dying.

Suddenly, a car speeded out of nowhere and smashed into the driver’s side of my car. I felt the door cave in and I was jerked awkwardly to the side, feeling a sudden pain in my shoulder. Another car hit the back of mine, joining the accident. I jerked foreword and my head hit the windshield before my air bag went off. I heard sirens and cars honking as my vision started to fade. Thoughts raced through my head, the last one being one simple name; Mia. My body fell limp against the deflating air bag, the blood from my forehead painting it. Everything blacked out and my sense of sound went dead. I was unconscious.
