I sung softly to myself as I tapped my fingers lightly against the island counter in the kitchen, “Nice, you like Paramore?” a deep voice asked entering the room,

I looked up from my book and smiled, “if you mean like as in love then yes, yes I do.” He grinned and leaned over my shoulder,

“And what are we reading?” His eyebrows knotted up and I snorted, “Having trouble?” Joe nodded his head and leaned in closer; I rolled my eyes and picked up the paperback book.

“Joseph, it’s in French, it’s called Yvain, ou le chevalier au lion” I grinned at his confused features, “Cool, so what?” I chuckled and hosted myself up onto the counter, “It’s a famous French book, and it’s a romance about the main character Yvain.” Joe nodded his head for me to continue,

I flipped through the pages quickly and continued, “Basically Yvain sets off to defeat his cousin who happens to be a knight, and once he defeats him Esclados, who was a female knight, falls head over heals in love with him and yada yada ya.”

I mumbled sheepishly, I felt the book being gently taken away from my hands, “That’s really cool I didn’t know you spoke French,” I shrugged and hopped down,

“Eh sure I guess, my mother is full French hence her light accent.” Joe nodded I decided to go for a nice jog along the beach when Joe interrupted,

“Jamie, you have a beautiful voice.” I smiled and turned around hoping he wouldn’t catch my now tinted cheeks, damn you Joseph Jonas.

The sweat dripped down my mid back as I finished up my two mile jog, the sand was soft and welcoming as I fell back and rest my legs,

“How was your run?” I felt the sand next to me crunch, “And have you been waiting for me to return Joseph?” Joseph ignored the questioned and hover over me,

“Why do you insist on calling my Joseph?” I looked at him strangely and sat up straight stretching out my arms, “Because it’s your name? Or am I missing something?”

Joe looked blankly at me and began tracing figures into the sand, “No your right but I go by Joe, normally people don’t call me Joseph” Joe emphasized. “Well, your name is Joseph and therefore I call you Joseph,”

“Well I came out here to tell you that dinner will be ready any minute and I suggest you take a long shower, ‘cause I can smell you, and I would prefer not to” Joe grinned, I scoffed and playfully pushed him over as he pretended to be offended and push me over, while he came crashing down with me,

He braced himself with his hands, both of which were on either side of my head, His breathing was heavy from laughing and his face was dangerously close to mine, his brown eyes boring into my blue ones,

Moments turned into minutes as we stayed frozen, neither wanting to move, “Do I really smell bad?” I whispered as his noise was inches from mine, “No, you smell and look beautiful.” His voice was shaky as he leaned in closer,

His hot breath tickling my face, “Joey Jamie!” a tiny voice called from the deck, I titled my head back to see Frankie jumping up and down flailing his arms,

Great, we’ll never live this down,

I looked up at Joe was still staring at Frankie with an expressionless face. “I think we should go in,” I said meekly, Joe merely grunted and slipped off me, before I was even able to stand up Joe was already stomping off to the house,

Great, this wouldn’t be awkward at all, I sighed and slowly walked back into the house,
