The Beach House

I sighed and watched intently as the waves crashed down onto the soft white sand. I placed my chin on my knee’s which were folded into my chest,

The ocean could do me no wrong,

Thoughts whizzed by me in a matter of seconds, Joe Jonas kissed me, me Jamie Anne Jade plain drama dork who is to short, to skinny, and too awkward. Memory of the evening began to flood back,

”Joeyyyy!” I tiny voice yelled, Joe pulled back quickly facing Frankie who was smirking from the slide, “Time to go” Joe nodded and stood up turning back to me,

“Need a hand?” My gaze was ripped from Frankie to the welcoming big calloused hand in front of me; I meekly accepted it and walked shoulder to shoulder with Joe,

“So I glad this isn’t awkward at all” Joe grinned, I shrugged and accidentally bumped his shoulder, “Yeah”

And that was the epitome of our whole conversation back to the house. My head began to pound and my stomach felt like it would never stop dropping.

“Jamie?” I sighed and felt a comforting hand on the small of my back, “you okay?” I shrugged and continued to stare out into the sunset, “Depends,” Joe nodded and joined me mimicking my gestures,

“If I did something wrong I’d rather you just tell me then ignore the problem,” I sighed and stretched out my legs, “No, you didn’t do anything I didn’t let you do, I’m just I’m just so confused right now you know?”

Joe starred out as well, “I’m not confused I’m just nervous I guess.” I chuckled and raised my eyebrow at him, “you? Mr. Rock star Jonas nervous? I thought you broke hearts not captured them,”

Joe mumbled a “I thought I did to” and faced me, “I didn’t mean to make this awkward, so can we start over?” this boy just kissed me and wants to start over?

My heart felt like it was bleeding in pain, I forced a grin and shook his hand, “Deal.” I stood up and brushed sand off my jeans, “I think I should go in, see ya Joseph.”

I waved her off and slumped my shoulders, “What did I do?” I sighed resting my face into my hands,

The one girl I couldn’t stop thinking about, dreaming about, living about just agreed to start over. All because of me.

I sighed and traced some letters out into the sad, “You know, the Joe I know is normally a lot more confident when it comes to the ladies,”

Kevin’s smirk was small but all to true, “Dude, not right now okay?” Kevin looked down in concern, “You okay?” I nodded and stood up, “I’m going to head inside,”

I began walking back when Kevin called back, “Want to talk about it?” I shook my head and walked off, “This is my battle,” I mumbled walking back to the house,

Kevin who watched Joe’s back disappear and then studied the sand for a moment,

Kevin grinned and shook his head, “It’s about time.”

I mumbled and tried to bare the pain of my splitting head ache, I grumbled and rolled over checking the time, 12:24 p.m

I sighed and rolled out of my bed and carefully walked down the halls, hoping no creek would crack.

Pushing open the bathroom door I searched desperately for the Advil, I rarely took medicine and was getting frustrated with my search,

“You need a hand?” I jumped placing my hand on my heart, “oh my gosh you scared me!” I whispered harshly, Joe grinned and opened the medicine cabinet, “What are you doing up anyway?”

Joe shrugged and handed me the tiny bottle, “I had to pee, now hurry up” same old Joseph, I sighed and filled up a glass of water and downed my two pills, finishing up I opened the door I came face to face, and well body to body with Joe.

“The bathroom’s all yours” I mumbled pushing past him, “Jamie?” I stopped barely making it to the comforts of my room,

“Yes?”

“Thank you?”

I grunted and stared at him for a moment, “Thank you.” I huffed shutting my door and curling up into my warm bed sheets,
