On the Path of Insanity

Hitting a pissed Vampire Will Bite You in the Ass

“What are you doing!” Cain Laughed as he pointed at me and laughed, again.

Beatrice giggled. If I had a bat at the current moment. I’d get rid of two very annoying people

“Sister! She is helping out serving! I thought you said she was a guest?” Beatrice asked her older sister.

“Yeah Patricia, you said she was a guest.” Cain mocked giving me a taunting smile.

I glared but couldn’t help but sigh at my unluckiness. I always got into this kind of trouble. I noticed that everyone had stopped and were now staring at what was happening. Crud. Erika had gone white with fear and I’m talking about the whole paper white this time.

“I’m sorry milord! She was mistaken for me while I was taking a….break.” By the pause I could tell it wasn’t a break. Cain gave her the coldest of looks.

“Was I talking to you pathetic human? Don’t talk unless your spoken to!” He barked angrily and I grabbed a spoonful of the red meat and threw it so it hit him and splattered all over him.

I grinned, dropped the pot, and ran as if there was a sale on aisle ten. Yeah, must get to aisle ten or game over. I forced myself think. Now what would be aisle ten? Well my ticket to freedom, the front door. I knew that he would recover from his coma and come after me and raise hell just to find me. I was kind of dead, I think, no, I knew I was a goner. As I was running I tripped over something, a bat! I thanked the gods, picked it up, and continued to run. And run. And run. Until I bumped into someone really warm. I looked up to see a not so forgiving pair of green eyes before they turned orange, flickering between orange and red. I gulped as I looked at the window. He could A: kick my poor defenseless butt or B: Fling me out the window. None of those sounded good to me. I saw something that I had seen in my mother’s eyes. Anger and hatred. There was nothing he could do that was worse than what mother dearest had done to me. Sold me to some weirdoes who made me dress up and serve food. The whole food serving wasn’t so bad I disliked the laughing and the dress up session.

“Hey so you got the meat off your face and clothes.” Drat. Not a good way to distract him.

“You want to know a good tip to remember? Never piss off a vampire.” Cain growled angrily I couldn’t help but smile at what I had done.

There must’ve been fire in his eyes at how angry he was. I decided to kick him, where it counts that is. His eyes bulged out and he crumbled to the ground. Might be a vamp boy but still a dude. I snickered and looked down to look at my beautiful work, only there was something missing. Before I could point my finger on it I was picked up and then I knew what was missing. The actual boy on the ground rolling on the floor in pain. Well now I was slung over his shoulder as he marched down the hall angrily.

“Your going to wish you never did that human.” Cain snarled menacingly oh how I wanted to mock him. I bit my tongue from getting myself sentenced to death.

He walked up to a room and opened it. He threw me on the bed and stomped out. I heard the click of the door and I was trapped in, just like that. No other word at all just bam and throw and I’m officially locked in by the click of the doorknob. The lights went out and I grumbled things about payback under my breath. Then moved to find somewhere to sit. Yup, this was going to be a long day. Maybe I shouldn’t have kicked him. He did laugh at me though. That was mean and he was also mean to Erika and no one is mean to Erika. Mostly because she was the only one who would here me when I said I wasn’t Erika.

~Now you’ll learn your lesson~ he said silently in my mind.
`Puh-lease! This isn’t even the beginning!`
~Then I’m going to have to teach you that I’m not someone to mess around with~ he growled and left my mind.
I rolled my eyes and decided to rest even though I had already rested enough to make sure I didn’t sleep tonight. I wasn’t going to be to happy a couple of hours from now. What time had it been when I had awoken here? Is the timing the same or different from where I used to live. I thought about how I had been sold, damn them. A couple hundred and they jump at the thought of getting rid of me. I felt tears brim at my eyes and I tried to blink them away but to no avail as they flowed down my face. This was bull! Why had they done this only because I wouldn’t take that exam to Harvard or anything they ask for that matter. OH…Now I saw why they had left me to rot. That explained all. I was too much for them to handle they were intimidated by me. Afraid of me ruining their reputation. The tears stopped as a bitter smile made its way across my face. I got down on the bed I had sat on and lay there with my hands behind my head thinking of ways to escape from here and to get back to reveal that my parents had sold me off to psychos that could have killed me. The door opened and light flood the room, I looked up to see big sister what was her name?

“Patricia.” she answered not betraying any emotions on her face.

“Are you going to tell me that I’m forever damned here with no food or drinks until I rot?” I asked sarcastically.

She shook her head no and motioned for me to follow, oh crud. I was beginning to like that place. I followed her and saw Cain leaning against the wall ever so coolly. As if he had no care in the world. He had changed his clothes to a red shirt made of silk and another pair of black jeans and shoes.

“Cain has something to say to you.” Patricia informed, I knew what she was doing and I didn’t like it one bit.

“No I don’t” he mumbled as he approached us.

“Cain!” She shouted more peeved than I was and that was saying something.

“Ugh! Fine I’m sorry” He spat the words like they burned his tongue.

I stuck my own tongue out at him but realized that Patricia was looked at me expectantly. I looked at her pretended not to know why she was looking at me. It lasted for quite awhile. Then I pouted and mumbled an apology to Cain. Truthfully I wasn’t sorry but he didn’t need to know that. The look on his face when I threw the meat was at him was priceless.

“What I didn’t hear you” He shouted and cupped his hand around his ear like he was death. I glowered as I forced myself to say it again.

“I said I’m sorry” I began to fume as I thought of many horrible ways to hurt him.

Then I remembered something he said. As I recall those words went like this: You know something? Never piss off a vampire. My eyes widened in fear as those words clicked. Vampires equaled bloodthirsty creatures that somehow connected to human blood which I was overflowing with. I gulped at took a step back. Patricia seemed to grow uncomfortable and walked away stammering something about dresses and the mini vampire. I took another step backwards. Cain merely rolled his eyes.

“We aren’t unintelligent creatures that don’t just go around killing people for blood. We are smarter than that you know. If I say so, we are smarter than you humans. I mean we think faster and move faster. We are unbelievingly strong. We can walk in the sun and all those things that would have killed us decades ago now are nothing to us. We have grown such as you humans have as well.” Cain said over his shoulder as he walked away in slow lazy steps.

I turned around and left to mesmerize this place and work on my plan of a cool ninja escape.
