I heard it, too. Whatever Hex and Connor talked about, it got closer with each passing second. Connor gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.
“Hey, David, I think we’ve found the whole lot.”
“Damn it, Connor! It’s Jimmy and David!”
“Shit, really?” he asked, “Then it’ll be easy with powers.”
“Don’t use it if you don’t want to, Connor,” I said, “Remember, you beat them before without your air powers.”
“Ha! You’re right, Jimmy, we did! And look! It’s Connor and Hex! And do I spot our little baby sister?”
Nick took a few steps to line up with Connor, Hay, Charlie and Hex. “Hex, why don’t you take Tina and get the hell out of here?” he asked.
“Hell, no, I get to fight this time!” Hex yelled, “Air Blast!” Connor gritted his teeth again, At least that will keep them a few feet from us. Anyways, we have six against two.
