One Night Stand

The concert hall around us roared with the sounds of impeccant teenagers screaming "PANIC AT THE DISCO!" at the top of their lungs.

I've never seen so many people in one place. The room was over heated, over filled and reeked of the smell of alcohol.

"Stay close okay? This is your first show with us so we're not gonna make you do anything this time." Alex assured me, pulling me along by my wrist as we entered the 'Authorized personnel only' Door.

"Yeah, well, besides stripping that is." Jack added, laughing slyly to himself before getting slapped in the back of the head by Rian.

"Why do you have to go and spoil ever surprise we through at her. First it was wear your underwear day and now this. Jeez, Jack. Be mature..." I rolled my eyes as I followed Alex back stage.

This place was HUGE with a capital H!

Of course, me being a musician and all, found this to be like a separate heaven.

All the musical supplies you would need in a life time, huge amps, a high quality drum set and not to mention there was a backstage!

Only show I've ever been able to go to was my high school talent show which ended up getting canceled in the middle due to the amount of drugs being passed around.

I only realize now that I never did get a chance to perform for the people back home...Oh well, their loss.

Alex pushed me down into a chair as he scrambled around nervously.

"Dear god! Where did I put my guitar! Jack! Where's my guitar! Oh fuck, why now of all times-"

"Alex, look down..." Jack mumbled back, pulling his own guitar out of its case. Alex glanced down only to see that his guitar was hanging by its strap around his neck.

Wow... Smooth...

He smiled awkwardly in my direction as he went back to scrambling around for a pick which, of course, was placed behind his ear, hidden behind all of his hair.

"Gosh, Alex's never been this nervous..."Zack mumbled, nudging Rian in the side of the arm. "You think it's because-"

"Probably because of all the people out there. This is our first big concert man, Of course he'd be nervous..." Rian interrupted, sticking one of his drum sticks behind his ear which ended up falling to the ground.

"Ladies and Gentleman, Please give a warm welcome to ALL TIME LOW!" The crowd began cheering loudly, chanting their name over and over again.

The four boys looked at each other, asking one another whether they were ready or not. When that was over, they all gripped their instruments and everyone but Alex walked out onto the stage.

"See, we are famous babe." He smiled quickly at me before running out onto the stage. I couldn't help but laugh a bit. Alex with his slightly charming ego... Whatever to do with him...

I stood up from my chair and walked over to the opening in the curtains, glancing from one boy to the next until reaching Alex, looking slightly terrified as he stood in front of the microphone, in front of millions!

"Hey Everybody!" He yelled as the crowd began getting more aroused by the second. "Are you ready to have sex- I mean, hear music!"

I laughed a bit, knowing the typical Alex would say something like that. The crowd responded the same way.

"This song goes out to a friend of ours who’s actually our new merch girl! Everyone say hi to April... You did... good! Now pay attention to us!" I began laughing harder as I noticed tons of eyes stray over to where I was standing. I really had no idea that I was visible but when I did, I pulled myself back, my face red hot.

They began playing and then... He started singing...

"Hey, kid, you've got, a lot of potential
but I think its time to move up, so go on and blow us away with your sound;
Now you're everything that we've come to love,
you taught us to move, so we'll show it off,
just drop us the beat...

Here's to the fast times; the times we felt alive;
to all the nights that we forgot to get back home.
Stay seventeen,
the party scene has got the best of me and you,
we've got to let this go...

Drink up last call before the sunrise sets the scene,
of empty bottles, heavy hearts,
the memories of broken dreams...
We were so tired yet so alive,
wrapped up in lies like sheets of another one night stand,
you know you left the girl with nothing but the,

Sunrise through the window pane, where tired eyes will close....
Stay seventeen, the party scene has got the best of me and you,
we've got to let this go...

I know she hopes I choke on this last drink,
drop dead before my influence gets to her head...
She said, "I'll love you forever, or find something better.
It's all just the same as when we sleep together.
We wake up with headaches, and trouble remembering
what went wrong..."

Stay seventeen,
the party scene has got the best of me and you,
we've got to let this go..."

I was in Awe. Pure awe.

Not only did all the boys play their instruments amazingly but Alex literally had the best voice I've heard in years!

Alex's eyes shot over to me as a full smile formed on his face, matching mine.

"Wow, they could match us..." A soft, almost barely atonable voice said from the darkness.

My heart jumped for a moment from shock as I spun around on my heals, only to come face to face with none other than...

Brendon Urie.

"Woah, Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you. Are you alright?" He put his hands up defensively before taking a small step back, glancing me up and down once or twice.

"Y-yeah. Sorry. You kind of spooked me a bit there." I smiled awkwardly.

This was Brendon Urie. Lead singer of Panic at the Disco. Standing in front of me... Looking at me. Have I hit heaven?

"I'm Brendon by the way." He smiled back, his smiling only making my heart jump a bit more. "So are you one of their girlfriends or something?" He asked, looking back onto the stage.

I looked back with him only to see that the boys had continued playing their next song. Yet, to my surprise, I barely even noticed.

"Pff, they wish." I said, giggling a bit under my breath. "I'm the Merch girl." I extended my hand outward towards him and he gripped it firmly, giving it a quick shake.

"Well, nice to meet you uh... Didn't catch your name..."

"April North." I said confidently, only now noticing that he still had my hand in his grip. He looked down as well and quickly pulled away, leaving my hand slightly tingling.

Now, I'm not saying that I'm like, one of those crazy fan girls that are in love with these types of guys. I'm just a fan of the band really. Meeting someone that I've actually heard about in music magazines and stuff like that.... Well, it has an effect on people like me. Wanna-be musicians.

"So, this your first time with All Time Low? They never mentioned a pretty girl was gonna be touring around with us." He smirked a bit, obviously holding back a tiny laugh.

"Well, I'm kind of short notice." I said, scratching the back of my head quickly, making sure that my hair wasn't in some embracing place due to Zack's earlier 'Pillow fight of death'.

"THANK YOU VEGAS!" Alex yelled out as he rushed back stage, almost slapping Jack in the face with it.

He threw his arms around me and pulled me into a hug as his guitar barely danged around his neck.

"Oh, fuck yes! We did better than a one night stand!" Rian said, throwing his drum sticks back into the huge bin of them sitting in the corner as he walked over to the odd scene Alex was making.

"TOLD YA SO! TOLD YA SO! TOLD YA SO!" He yelled in my ear as his arm muscles flexed around me, making his grip even tighter.

Not to mention making it twice as hard for me to breathe.

"All right, All right! I get it! You’re famous! Now get off me!" I laughed trying to push Alex's heavy body away from mine.

"You guys were great!" Brendon said out of nowhere. Only now did the boys notice he was standing in front of me. The all fell silent for a moment, their brains trying to match the voice with a face in the dark.

And then... Click.

"Oh, Hey Brendon." Alex said, finally letting go of me to shake hands with Brendon.

I gasped for air the moment I was free, letting out tiny laughs.

"Jeez, are you trying to kill the poor girl, Alex?" Brendon asked, laughing a bit as he scanned my newly purple face once more.

"That's the plan, don't wear it out." Jack mumbled, throwing himself back onto a couch as he let out a long sigh.

"Oh yeah, April, Brendon, Brendon-"

"We've already been introduced." He said, shooting a quick smile at me as I finally began regaining proper breathing patters.

Alex stood there for a second, looking Brendon dead in the eyes with almost no expression on his face.

"Oh..."

"Hey Brendon, get back here! We need to touch up in make up before we get going." Someone called out from a brightly lit room which fell dark as the door closed.

"Coming Ryan!" He yelled back, then looked back down at me.

Holy fuck, was that Ryan Ross!?

"Sorry but it’s time I take my leave. It was nice meeting you April. Hey, maybe after the show we could, I don't know... hang out some time? We are gonna be on tour together for a month." He smiled down hopefully, completely avoiding Alex's and Jack's confused gaze.

"That would be nothing but wonderful." I said, giggling at how lame I sounded.

"Well, I bid the adieu." He grabbed my hand and raised it to his lips, kissing it quickly before running off backstage.

This left me slightly in awe and left my hand tingling more than it was before.

"I don't know what it is about him, but I don't like him..." Alex mumbled, turning his back to me to put his guitar down but for some reason, he didn't turn back.

I rolled my eyes and walked up from behind him, getting up on my tippy toes and kissed him lightly on the cheek.

"You’re an amazing singer Alex. Better then Brendon will ever be." I assured him.

I couldn't help but notice his face turn a slight shade of red which was followed by a smile.

Embracement? Flattery? Who really knows when it comes to Alex Gaskarth...

"Oh! What about my bass playing?! Better then Jon Walker's?!" Zack asked eagerly, shooting his hand up in the air as he sat himself down next to Jack.

"Well, let’s not go that far dude..." I said, smirking slightly as I let a small laugh slip between my lips.

"Bitch..." He mumbled before bursting into laughter.

"Hey, no name calling. Let’s just enjoy the rest of the concert. Then you can call her anything you want..." Jack said, patting Rian on the back before laughing a bit to himself.

"Yeah. We shouldn't be celebrating too much if this is going to be the first show out of three more!" Zack said, glancing out onto the crowd once more before walking back in, looking slightly taken back.

"Hey, you were the one that said we were like a 'One Night stand'." Rian pointed out.
"Yeah but I said 'ONE NIGHT'. Not a whole goddamn orgy of nights!"
"Dude, an orgy is when you do it with more than 3 peop-"
"Shut up and agree with me Damn it! Agree!" Zack demanded, laughing a bit to himself.

I laughed as well, only now noticing that Alex was being unusually quiet.

"Alex? You okay man?" I asked, placing my hand on his shoulder trying to get a better look at his face. That same smile from before quickly snapped of as he spun around to meet my eyes.

"Yeah, Yeah, Sorry. Just thinking about tonight and stuff." He smiled down at me and then walked over towards the water cooler, grabbing a water bottle and taking a long, hard, drink.

"Well, I know what April's thinking about!" Zack shouted out, a smirk curling on his face. "She got asked out by Brendon!" He yelled out, making everyone snap into attention.

Jack and Zack were laughing it up. Alex, on the other hand, suddenly spat his water all over himself and began coughing harshly.

"Oh shut up. He didn't ask me out you asshole." I said, grabbing one of the pillows off the couch and tossing it into Zack's face.

Alex finally finished couching and wiped his mouth clean of the droplets of water.

"Come on guys. Asking someone to hang outp/i] isn't necessarily asking them out!" Alex pointed out.

"Well, whenever you ask someone to, ahem, hang out it normally ends in a hotel room, with your close off." Jack recompensed. Alex just glared at him for a second, only causing Jack to laugh harder.

"Haha, very funny." He mumbled.

I simply rolled my eyes as the boys continued bickering over what 'Hanging out' meant to them.

I walked over towards the stage entrance only to catch Brendon's eyes at the other end. They were all preparing and straighten out their hair and laughing about who knows what.

Brendon waved at me quickly and flashed a smile before the crowd fell completely silent.

"Ladies’ And Gentleman, please put your hands together for PANIC AT THE DISCO!"
