A Dream Upon Waking

What's the difference between dreams and reality? The rules that define one and not the other? We find comfort in the constant rules of reality, the laws of physics that keep us anchored to a sense of familiarity. Will we ever learn to break free, to live in the dreams that we find such jubilance in?

Rather heavily influenced from the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The title itself is from part of the soundtrack, by Jon Brion. Just giving credit where it's due. Also, fun fact; the 'reality' parts of the story are semi-biographical, and are all parts of my life that I use to model out the story.

Any feedback at all is greatly appreciated! If the tone, the pacing, anything, doesn't agree with you, I'd be delighted if you dropped a comment!

But please, go easy on me; it's my first serious attempt at writing something.
