As My Tears Turn Red

Finally Dakota came back.

He wasn't in much better of a mood though, he walked right past us
and upstairs, the bedroom door slammed.

I told Sam I figured I should apologize and started to walk up the stairs.

I didn't feel like I did anything wrong, but he made me feel guilty and I wanted the safe feeling back.

I tapped lightly on the door and walked in when there was no answer.

Dakota was laying on the bed.

I walked over.

“Dakota, look I'm sorry... I didn't mean to upset you”

By now I was standing next to the bed.

He patted the bed beside him, and I curled up to his side.

“I'm sorry too, I over reacted”

“It's okay” He stroked my cheek and I realized I was crying.

Bang!

The whole house seemed to shake.

Dakota was up in a flash leaving me in a daze.

He gave me the sign to stay with his hands and then changed to a wolf in less then a second.

He flew out the door.

I slowly rose from the bed and was knocked into the nearby wall.

I screamed but was cut off by a hand covering my mouth.

They probably didn't even hear me downstairs.

I looked to see who had me pinned and gasped.
