I was sleeping deeply when I started to feel a warm sensation on my neck. Then I felt little bites on it, I heard some giggles. I forced my eyes to open very slowly to find Jared’s icy blue eyes staring at me.
“Morning.” I said yawing which gave Mr. ‘smart ass’ the perfect shot to kiss me.
He’s such a teaser, I contained my laughter but I didn’t give in. We were ‘wrestling’ for domination when Jared started to tickle me which was one of my weak points. I couldn’t take it and I laughed making Jared win again. I groaned at him while he smirked proudly
A knock was on the door and Jared got up to attend it.
“Jared?” I called him after a death silence. I was wearing a dark red t-shit and a pair of black pajama pants. I walked to the door to see Jared staring at a man probably around 45 years old
“Is that her?” The man asked smiling at me
“Sweet cheeks get out of here. I need to have a private conversation with this man.” Jared said calmly at me. I raised an eyebrow Jared never talked to me like that but if he did it he must have a reason though I don’t him keeping secrets, specially secrets that can visit you in a hotel suite in Italy.
“Oh no. Miss Patricia can stay.” The man said eyeing me
“I don’t think so. Paty go please.” Jared said turning to me winking. I went towards the bedroom and I closed the door.
Jared’s P.O.V
“What are you doing here Hugh?” I said
“Oh come on can’t I visit a old friend?” Hugh said smiling
God, I hated this guy. He was my former manager and because of him rumors of me dating another celebrities started. When I had a normal girlfriend he lied to her so she would break up with me and then he started to put me in every celebrity party he could find. He only wanted publicity for himself, he never gave a damn about my actor career.
I’m not letting him get close to Paty, he eyed her and I don’t like that. She was a regular girl, but she became an actress. He came here because of her almost for sure.
“She’s really pretty. You always had an eye for girls but this one is not a blonde prototype.” Hugh said laughing
All the celebrities he had got for me were blonde I don’t have anything against it but Hugh appearing here was weird.
Well two years ago I fired him and I got a personal assistant because that way I could control my contracts instead of having someone doing that for me. Hugh had the bad habit of accepting things before telling me and me being a musician and an actor I had to know what events to choose. Hugh never supported me with 30 Seconds To Mars and that was another reason to just fire him.
“Don’t forget that those were arranged by you. Paty is someone I love, nobody chose for me I did.” I said
Hugh smirked
“She has talent but you’re covering her way. She can become a great actress, she knows a lot of people but because she’s with you people judge her. We both know it.” Hugh said, my hands became fists
“Paty knows what to do and now I’m on tour and she’s still getting famous on her own. Now leave!” I said noticing that Paty was slowly opening the door probably she heard my tone of voice.
“Hum Jared?” Paty asked looking afraid of interrupting my conversation. I smiled at her, I would never get angry at her because of Hugh, never.
“Shannon’s on the phone.” She said giving me my Blackberry. She had called him and he had told her.
Shannon was clever and he knew that Paty would kick Hugh’s ass, I could see it in her eyes. She was furious at what he had done to me.
“Stop eyeing me.” She said coldly at him, I observed her while talking with Shannon.
“I see that the elder Leto already informed you very well. But did he tell you about all your dear Jared’s sins?” Hugh asked her
Damn it! Paty was curious and I was afraid that she would get interested in his cheap talk
“I don’t care about anything that you want to say.” Paty said smirking
I was looking at her shocked, Paty never acted like that around anyone but she noticed that he was a double person. He just wanted money and publicity to himself.
“Now what do you want?” She asked him
“I want to be your manager.” Hugh said smiling at her
“The spot’s taken. Leave.” Paty said opening the suite’s door.
Hugh gave me a hate look and he groaned. He glanced at Paty and she was glaring at him, so he left.
Paty’s P.O.V
Jared hide me this, what will I encounter next? A pregnant ex girlfriend? An adopted brother?
“Jared why didn’t you tell me?” I asked him after Hugh left.
“I didn’t know he would come back and I didn’t want you to think that I had a freak ex-manager. I was afraid that you would hate me or don’t go even near me.” Jared said looking down.
I gently pulled his chin up so our eyes met and I smiled at him
“Silly. I would never do that, though he was an asshole for doing that to your ex-girlfriend.” I said kissing him sweetly
Jared wasn’t confident for the first time, for me he has always a very high self-esteem but this only made him seem even more human and less a celebrity.
“Oh I have someone I want you to meet.” Jared said
“Who?” I asked excitedly
“Lily’s bringing him, so get dressed!” Jared said and I immediately dressed
“Hola!” Lily said from the door, I went in her direction to find her with a dog.
He had white fur, he was big and he looked so sweet and cuddling. I kneeled down and I caressed his head, giggling at his sweetness
“I’m happy you like him. Shannon told me that sometimes you’re afraid of dogs.” Lily said and I smiled at her
When I was a kid I had been bitten by a dog so since then that it is very hard for me to approach a dog or a cat. But I try and if they bark at my approach I leave them alone. But this dog actually let me go near him and I liked him.
“Is he yours?” I asked her
“No, he’s mine. He’s Judas.” Jared said kneeling down beside me and tickling his dog
“You have a dog and you never told me?” I asked him in disbelieve
“Your dad told us about the dog story and that you were a bit afraid at first, so I wanted you to meet him like this.” Jared said kissing my forehead and taking my hand in his and putting it Judas head
“He likes you, I knew he would.” Jared said proudly
I smiled and looked at Lily but she was gone. I smiled again and I stood, I took Jared’s hand and off we went to walk with Judas.
Later that night
“Paty what’s that face for?” Shannon asked teasing me when we were getting out the restaurant where we had dinner.
“I’ve been expecting a call.” I said looking at him
“From who?” He asked glaring, Jared was just holding his laugh
“From my lover.” I said smirking
“WHAT?” Shannon yelled making everyone laugh including me
“Shannon! I’m waiting for my dad to call. Do you really think I would even think about leaving your brother? Are you nuts?” I said sticking my tongue at him
Shannon smiled warmly and hugged me tight. I poked him in the cheek smiling
“Why are you grinning?” I said looking at Jared and then at Shannon who was smiling
“Oh nothing it’s about your dad’s call.” Jared said pretending to make an innocent face
“What did you know about that?” I asked walking towards him
“Everything.” Jared said pulling my chin up and kissing me deeply
