Believe In Me

I guess what they say is true, no one can tell you how to live your life, and it’s up to you to make it or break it. But should someone take the wheel once in a while to steer you in the right direction? What if it’s too late? What if you’re so far down the wrong path, nobody could save you unless you let them?

For me, the only person who could be my superhero just happened to be him…

He lives two houses down and across the street.

He has three brothers who love him for who he truly is.

He has two parents who are home, and there for him.

He’s got a golden retriever puppy he walks by my house every day.

He plays basketball and baseball with his older brother and scooters with his younger one.

He turns in all his homework.

He’s never out past curfew.

He hardly ever takes off his converse.

He always pinches his eyebrows together when he’s lost in thought.

He can always tell when someone is lying but never shows it.

He is funny and always has something meaningful to say.

He truly cares for his friends.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

To many, he’s a kid at school.

To some, he’s an acquaintance.

To few, he’s a friend.

To three, he’s a brother.

To two, he’s a son.

But to me, he’s all that and more.
