Expectations

““Calm down, you’re trembling like crazy, I won’t hurt you.” Robert whispered softly on my ear. We were now alone at the backyard, sitting under a humongous tree.

“I…I am not it’s just that, I met you hours ago.” I replied

“So? You can trust me...” he said, reaching for my hand and keeping me close.

“Well, I’ve got to say that I’m incredibly attracted to you.” I confessed. Stupid again, oh man.

He chuckled and took my face between his hands, breathing the same air I exhaled.

“May I repeat that those are the most beautiful eyes I would ever see?”

I closed my eyes and waited, I could feel my face hot with nerves. He pressed softly his lips against mine, kissing me slowly.

The two of us drowned in the darkness of the night.
