Azalea was a girl just like any other. She had a good school life, her friends loved her, and she had a family she loved. Well, she loved the family. Yeah, Azalea's father was a mob boss. And she was in line to take his place when he got arrested or killed or caught by the Batman, whichever came first.
Her father's position in life had taught Azalea to live in respect of the rules, in defiance of the law, and in fear of nobody. She was in charge of her own life. That is, until the Scarecrow finds interest in the mob, and decides that for negotiation purposes, he needs a hostage.
Now, Azalea's life has changed, and not for the better. Abuse, danger, defiance, and hate color her existence. Crime makes her herself. Who we're not defines who we are.
