Darling, Be Human

Main Focus: Alex Gaskarth, All Time Low Vocalist/Guitarist

Main Character: Adelyn Paige Bianchi

Title Credit: Be Human by Brighten

Synopsis:

In visions of the dark night
I have dreamed of joy departed -
But a waking dream of life and light
Hath left me broken-hearted.

Ah! What is not a dream by day
To him whose eyes were cast
On thing around him with a ray
Turned back upon the past?

That holy dream - that holy dream,
While all the world were chiding,
Hath cheered me as a lovely beam
A lonely spirit guiding.

What though that light, thro' storm and night,
So trembled from afar -
What could there be more purely bright
In Truth's day-star?

- A Dream, Edgar Allan Poe

Alex Gaskarth didn't know that he was in love until the girl in question decided to put her faith in someone else. Blinded in the past by ignorance, he now looks at Adelyn in a new light and finds himself wallowing in the thoughts of what could have been. When he finally gets a chance to prove his love, he puts not only his heart but his friendship with Adelyn on the line. At the end of the day, perhaps it'd have been best for Alex to have kept his dreams to himself.
