The Patient's little sister finds his journal amongst the possessions the hospital had of his. She reads it as he records his last days.
They call me ‘The Patient.’ I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I’m fading away quicker than they had expected – I’m not the same anymore. Maybe it’s because I’m becoming a ghost – a living ghost. If that makes any sense. But then again, most of my metaphors and thoughts don’t make any more sense than a murderer’s does. Ha, me… the equivalent of a serial killer. That’d be the day…
