Why Does It Have To Be This Way?

April is a young girl, that as the story progresses gets older. She starts out as a young little toddler. She has been beaten by her drug addict mother ever since her mother was diagnosed as being 'Mentally Insane' and gets put on medicine for it when April was the age 2. It never got really serious until her father committed suicide when she was only 4. Her mother went into a deep depression and started taking drugs to calm her down. She got addicted to them. April has 3 siblings. Matty, Donna, and Daniel. Only April, Donna, and Daniel get beaten. Matty us the youngest and the luckiest. April is the eldest of the 4 children. April gets beaten more than her siblings do but they still are unlucky and only lucky that their mother doesn't go so far like trying to murder them like she does to April. Life for April is so unfair. She feels that there is no point in living because where she lives, should be the safest place for her to be away from harms way but...it is actually the most dangerous place that doesn't keep her from harms way. Outside her house is much safer than being home, it is sad to admit that truth. Her life changes when she meets Xavier. After her eyes met his, she thought different about life. Maybe there is a point in living after all. The real question is, will April live to see the day she says 'I do' and runs out of the house as a free new woman. Will she live to see the day of freedom?
