No World for Tomorrow

Abel Coreas woke up mysteriously in a mental institute six months ago, and remembers nothing. Upon being interviewed, he spoke of war, winged creatures, and what seemed to be a bunch of gibberish. One day, he is confronted and shown symbols to jog his memory, and possibly explain some strange things that have happened in the past few years, when the Great Scar opened in the sky, linking the realms of mortals with a realm in which creatures we thought to be mythical are all too real. Manticores, centaurs, angels, griffons and dragons are but a few that have come through the Great Scar, causing the world to nearly fall apart, as no one understands how to destroy these creatures on such a massive scale. What the population doesn't know is that this is just the stage for a war that happens all too often, and it's up to the people to decide the victors. Will the world see its end at the hands of an unknown force? Or will it destroy itself in an attempt to save itself?
