Stupid Muggle

"You don't know what I'm capable of. You don't know what I've done."

Marlena Black had it all figured out.

She was going to get that scholarship, get that plane ticket and get the fuck out of Forks, Washington. It was bad enough that she had to spend her final year at the Quileute reservation high school, but she’d be damned if she let this place hold her back anymore. After travelling the world, with all the sponsored academic opportunities and a certain sense of know-how, Marlena knew that she was bigger than Forks, bigger than the reservation.

She was a genius, an academic wonder. There was no way that she was going to let herself, and her greatness rot away in this boring little town. No fucking way.

But even Marlena could not deny the real reason that she was so intent on leaving for, so intent on never coming back. She was running, in a way, running from all the mysticism, the legends and the overbearing older brother that Jacob had become. She needed a fresh start, some place where illusions belonged in dreams and histories and legends did not intertwine. But with the beginnings of the mark already burning through her skin, Jacob saw what Billy and Marlena refused to. His baby sister was going to be one of them soon, that was for sure. All that was left was for Marlena to phase and he’d be damned if she did that in some strange country, where she’d have no one to help her. Jacob was never going to let her out of his sight.

Draco Malfoy had a simple, very straightforward task to complete.

Protect and unlock the portkey that lay in Halifam’s halls, gain possession of the one magical artefact that the portkey would lead to and the Malfoy family would be free from the Dark Lord’s rule, once and for all.

Infuriated by the fact that he has to live at such close quarters with muggles, Draco’s life isn’t made easier when his only magical ally in the school insists on befriending the ebony skinned, dark haired little American human nymph.

An almost werewolf and a dark wizard – what could possibly go wrong?
