No one ever promised him fame or glory, and I suppose that’s a good thing, because he never got any of it. Rather, Luke got countless arguments, tears, protests from cranky children… So much less than what he deserved. I’m just as guilty as any of the other children were, having been more or less a child myself when I was with him. It didn’t matter that he viewed me as being his equal; he spent most of his time caring for me just the same.
Luke was a beautiful person. He was everything anyone could ever ask for, and anyone would admire his superhuman patience. That was why I felt as though I needed to remember his story, record it so that all could know the most amazing person I’d ever m
