TRAGEDY STRIKES AT STAPLES CENTER
Rookie LA King’s goalie loses his life

Los Angeles, Ca. The screaming sirens of ambulances came too late for young hockey goalie Rylie Beckett today, who was hit in the throat by Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby. Beckett had left his throat guard in the locker room after it was cracked during practice. Crosby is scheduled to appear before a court for charges of manslaughter, and has not stated when or if he will ever return to the game. Crosby, along with several LA King’s defensemen, tried desperately to save the rookie goalie. Beckett, 19, is survived by his older sister Annie, who refused to comment.
