It feels like a part of her life has been uprooted and replanted, which is fine but it’s also unsettling in a way.

So Kasia can’t sleep and instead watches TV, but then Adeline gets up at two in the morning to make them both hot chocolate because she just knows and Kasia watches her. She can feel something shifting around inside of her. She feels it in her stomach and it travels to her heart with a slow blossoming.

She’ll get used to it.
