Forever Yours
Sixteen-year-old Robert is Crown Prince of the small nation of Corsica. Sent to the esteemed Langford Academy in 1834 to complete his education, Robert befriends Frederick Burke, an outcast among the students of the school. The friendship soon escalates, and the two young students find themselves entangled in a scandalous love affair. When school officials discover the nature of their relationship, Frederick is quietly sent home in an effort to protect the school’s reputation.
Written as a series of letters, Forever Yours is a short story which details nearly four decades of Robert’s life through the lens of his correspondence with his dearest friend and lover, Frederick.
