Braided Bun
This is a really cute look for those days when you need your hair up and out of your face or those annoying mornings when you just can’t get your hair to cooperate. Personally, I like this hairstyle because it’s one of those great hairstyles that takes only a few minutes but still looks like you put some effort into looking relatively put together.
For this bun, you’ll need two hair elastics, one small, clear elastic, and a fair amount of bobby pins.
- Flipping your head over, sweep all of your hair into a messy, high ponytail.
- Leaving a section of hair from the ponytail out to make the braid, loosely wind the rest of the ponytail around the elastic to form the bun. Once you’re happy with the bun, slide the other hair elastic over the bun and gently tug at the bun to get a messier look. Pin any loose strands down with bobby pins.
- Make a simple plait with the section of hair you’ve left out and tie it off with the clear elastic. Wrap the braid around the base of the bun, then secure it into place with bobby pins.
- Mist with hairspray to lock it in, and you’re done!
For an extra touch, if you have longer bangs, you can braid your bangs back to make a trail to the braid in the bun. You could also switch this look up by using a fishtail braid wrapped around the bun instead of a traditional plait.
