Seven Steps for a Smokey Eye Look

Many females spend over half an hour getting ready because of one thing: Makeup.

Some girls will cake on makeup until they look completely fake. And the worst part? They think they look better than without makeup.

A girl doesn't have to wear so much makeup to look presentable. Just a little eyeliner and lip gloss is fine, but what if she's looking for a less subtle look, and instead, going for a Blam! look?

An easy way to accomplish that look is a smokey eye. The best part is that a smoky eye will look decent on nearly everybody, if done nicely.

Step 1

Cover the base of the eye with a metallic gray or silver shade, using an eyeshadow brush.

Step 2

Smoke out the eye using a black matte shade on the crease of the eye and connect it to the outer crease.

Step 3

Using a blender brush, blend out the black in the crease and the outer corner.

Step 4

With a white shade(metallic or shimmer is optional), highlight the brow bone and the inner corner(tear-duct area) of the eye.

Step 5

Line your eyes with a black eyeliner. Use a liquid eyeliner if you want a dramatic look. For a softer smokey eye, use an eyeliner pencil.(For an even more dramatic look, use a white water liner on your waterline also.)

Step 6

To finish off the eyes, wear your favorite black mascara.

Step 7

Wear a peachy shade for your cheeks and a nude color of lip gloss for the lips. (Don't wear bright colors for lips or cheeks, so the smokey eye is effective.)

Finished!
