Newspaper Nail Design

Newspaper nails are a popular, new trend amongst celebrities. Though it may look difficult to do, turning your fingernails into a mini newspaper is actually pretty simple.

Materials:

1. Clear base coat nail polish
2. Clear top coat nail polish
3. Nail glue
4. Newspaper
5. Scissors
6. Nail scissors

Procedure:

1. Cut the newspaper into ten small sections. Then, cut those sections into a shape about the size of your fingernail. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it needs to be close.
2. Brush the clear base coat onto your nail so you have a nice surface to work with. Wait for it to dry.
3. Take the nail glue and brush it over the entire surface of your nail. Make sure every part of your nail has a thin layer of the glue so the newspaper will stick to it all.
4. Place the newspaper neatly and carefully over your nail, making sure that the newspaper is smooth and has no wrinkles.
5. Get your nail scissors and cut off the extra edges of the newspaper around your nail. Try to be as precise as possible. This is where the newspaper needs to be cut perfectly.
6. Brush the clear top coat over your nail a few times so that the newspaper will not get ruined when wet. You want to do 3-4 coats of the clear top coat.

Newspaper nails usually only last a few days, but they could last as long as a week if you take really good care of them!
